Dingy little gem of an Italian Deli! Outdated but authentism shines through. Lovely breads delivered daily, lots of specials and an amazing assortment in the deli section.In house butcher who is definitely worth knowing for those lovely cuts and the best sausages in town. Always some sort of specials with great discount prices. Pasta of all descriptions with DIVELLA at the forefrontWorth the visit, even only once.

I hate to put one star review for any business but this is The worst ever customer service I have ever seen , goods labeled and stickers match the description of goods properly but when you take it to the counter charge double , when I noticed it , she said we can not sell this at that price , even store manager simply took off the label without any apology or nothing , last but not least the strong smell in the shop is terrible , a food store !!!!

Hello ladies @ Gervasi Deli! Hope you keeping as safe as you making us feel safe.I was there this afternoon to buy some cheeses + other goodies.I come here to thank you guys for your great service, beautiful fresh produce & delightful smiles while you servicing us on this difficult times. You are looking after us, not only to give us great products but looking after us on our well-being. I have taken notice while I was there shopping you not only wanted to give me the best service but you were looking after my own safety.You girls deserve a big medal for everything you do and I hope you are appreciated by all who enter and exit your shop.Keep on your good work & do not take any notice on nasty customers who are selfish and try to throw to you they negative thoughts. You ladies are an uplift always to me as certainly when I come there you give me trust that the world is made of good decent people who care about others.Stay safe ladies & till I see you again stay healthy and blessed.

Great range of Italian products, good quality but at a price... Its no bargain supermarket but you get what you pay for, staff unresponsive to customers and clearly find it hard to smile or greet....April 2022 staff still unresponsive like they hate being there if wasn't for produce and Italians products... people would not go... they are rude to English people...dec 22 it seems to be the place where people go to complain... staff are still unresponsive and almost request these woeful stories... saw two people go get bread and not pay walk out.. egg is going on here... lots of other places to shop...

Since the change of staff at the Deli it has been amazing. The ladies behind the deli are absolutely amazing, kind, considerate and are full of information and knowledge with all the smallgoods. Recommend this supermarket. If I could give a 10/10 I would. I travel all the way from Mornington to shop here once a week.

A good variety of food, just check the expiry dates as it’s not always fresh. Some staff such as Louise are very nice but others not so much.

I just wish the cheese labelled Extra picante" was actually extra piccante !!And when I order the Princi Truffle salami I get the Princi truffle salami not hot sopressa salami.Purchased 2 bread rolls Monday morning at 10am. And I really doubt they were delivered fresh that morning

Gervasi is great. VERY Italian!...The smell other reviewers mention is the smell of deliciousness!.cured meats and cheeses. Try and avoid peak times at the deli unless you enjoy watching and listening to a slice of old Italy ( which I do ). Once you get to know the staff they are really friendly and helpful. The butchers are great with quality meat and tasty Italian pork sausages. Huge selection of pasta. I much prefer Gervasi to Mediterranean wholesalers which I find a bit soulless.

Picture this. I go there to buy a six pack of beer with my 4 year old daughter. The cashier was packing some alcohol next to me. Grab the beers and I go and stand at the register, I wait for 2-3 minutes as the lady strolls over. She makes no eye contact and no greeting. She scans my beer. The manager walks over from behind me and starts talking to the cashier about her shift for the next day. They talk for a while while I wait. No apologies, not even acknowledging that I exists. Manager leaves after a minute of talking. Lady tells me price for beer, the only words she uttered to me in all this time. I was disgusted by how unfriendly the experience was. I was under the impression that in Brunswick we are a rather friendly and considerate mob. But not these guys. I did tell the cashier that it was a very unfriendly experience, as I tried to greet her. She seemed confused and didn’t quite know how to greet back… I really hope this does not become common practise around Melbourne as it’s just horrible. I will certainly try my best not to shop here again. Very disappointing and no place for this kind of attitude in Brunswick!
