Nice flavour, but meat dish (goat) was mainly bone, fat and sauce, leaving me very unsatisfied. Photo shows how much of the meal was inedible.

My first visit (21-Jun-21): excellent food (ordered everything veg), outstanding hospitality (special thanks to Asif who’s the owner too), nice, rustic and spacious ambience (see photo), everything was just perfect and definitely deserved 5 star rating..My second visit (12-Mar-22): ordered starters (papadi Chaat & chicken pakoda) followed by main course (chicken handi, Karachi goat biryani) and for kids (cheese + chips) - it wasn't that great - maybe I was having high expectations.. hospitality and service was amazing...The owner (Asif) had called me back to sincerely apologise for not being available to serve us to ensure great experience. He was busy catering for an event..I visited this place again lately.. OMG, what an amazing food and what outstanding service these guys provide... Everything was just perfect.. whenever I'll be in town, I can't skip this place..

The worst place we’ve ever eaten. Soggiest, oiliest curry I’ve ever witnessed and soggy, over cooked rice. The bathroom was so disgusting and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in decades with no soap. I’d probably steer clear for enjoyment and health/safety reasons

Great ambience, great indoor and outdoor dining seating options, good variety in menu. Friendly staff, the hostess was really nice. Saw the staff pick fresh herbs from the garden make fresh chutney for us. All their food had fresh flavours and were made fresh. They also have pizza in the menu, so great for kids or anyone in the group who doesn't want to have Indian. Large seating area, good sized function area in the restaurant. We chose them as they had better reviews than other Indian restaurants in the area and we were not disappointed.

Appetising! Yummy-yum!Happened to visit this restaurant on my trip to Ballarat. This place was very close to my stay, went with zero expectations and was taken aback by the fabulous food and great service. Ordered Chilli chicken, paneer pakoda, samosa, chicken biriyani and fresh lime drink. The Food was very flavourful , presentation and aroma were fantastic. Chef Ritchie was great to check on our preferences and customise accordingly, he is genuinely passionate and has great skills. I suggest to check this place if you live around or happento visit Ballarat.

We went in for a family dine in experience which wasn't that great. It felt they were short staffed as we couldn't se anyone at the front counter or dining hall at the entrance. Staff seems a bit off too, also the food ordered was taking too long and the connectivity of food and hunger satisfaction was highly missed. Worned out ripped curtains in the alley gave a very untidy look. We ordered dal makhni which was ok. Handi paneer was too spicy instead of our request for being mild, roti and Naan were a bit dry.

I have been a regular customer at Masala Valley Indian for take away and have been consistently impressed with the quality of food and service. The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, and each time we order, we like to try something new. The menu is extensive and the staff is always willing to make recommendations. The food is always fresh, flavorful and well-presented, and the service is quick and friendly. The restaurant offers great value for money and we have never been disappointed. One of the things that sets Masala Valley Indian apart from other Indian restaurants is the authenticity of the dishes. The flavors are spot-on and the use of traditional spices and cooking methods is evident in every dish. The curries are rich and hearty, the tandoori dishes are cooked to perfection and the biryani is one of the best we've had. The restaurant offers a good range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options that cater to different dietary requirements. As a regular customer, we have tried other Indian restaurants in the area, but we always end up disappointed and end up coming back to Masala Valley Indian. The food and service are consistently excellent, and it has quickly become our go-to Indian restaurant in Ballarat. I would highly recommend Masala Valley Indian to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Indian meal. It's definitely worth a visit!

This place offers better food compared to many Indian restaurants. It has a family-friendly environment, and we have visited multiple times. The food is served quickly, and we particularly enjoyed the lamb rice with coconut soup. However, the payment process at the counter could be improved. I highly recommend this place for small parties and family meals. They have a parking lot at the back, which can be a bit confusing to find initially. Alternatively, there are only 2-3 roadside parking spots available in the front.
