Such a great spot. Very accessible with great camping spots everywhere. Something for everyone. From spots perfect for a single camper through to areas that will accommodate big groups.Added bonus is if you love to wet a line, then you've got a good chance of catching a nice trout or two for dinner in the river that runs past this beautiful camping area.

Clear flowing waters, never seems too hectic because of the layout and plenty of wildlife to watch. Genuinely one of my favourite spots in Australia. Normally free but still only $6 booking fee with Covid.

A tranquil experience in Alpine surrounds. While the trip through the region can be challenging (Due to high speeders with caravans who hog a thin but sealed road) . There is a cottage style surrounds, picknick area and toilets with a large carpark. The parking area is adjoined by a camping area by the Swampy Planes river. Crossing the river is via a single lane width bridge. The picnic area has manicured lawns, bench tables and seats. Quite the hidden Alpine gem. Well worth stopping here before heading on to Khancoban, only 20 minutes further toward Victoria. The area would suite those seeking to simply get away and those interested in a river side fishing location away from civilization. Those arriving from the Victorian approach may find Toeing a caravan much simpler than the High Alpine Snowy Mountains approach where the road speeds warrant 15 - 30km per hour in summer. Winter can see this are closed due to snow falls and ice on the road. If this review is helpful please like.

The perfect t spot to stop for a picnic. There are a number of picnic tables and plenty of shade for the sunny days. There is a covered area should it be not so nice. Two firepits, one with a BBQ plate. Toilets and the river that is easily accessible and perfe t for dipping your toes into the cool water.
