If you want a proper curly haircut then I recommend Tess at Scissorhands Newtown. I haven't tried the other hairdressers in this salon but I was offered Tess when asking for a curly hair specialist and she hasn't disappointed and she really knows her stuff. Tess has curly hair herself and it looks great and that's just an extra bit of reassurance. The owner is really lovely and the salon is just a nice relaxing and welcoming place to be.

Went here for the first time today. Dan was absolutely lovely and was completely spot on with the colour and style I described to him. He clearly really loves his work. The whole salon was great, everyone was very friendly and looked like they enjoyed working together. Highly recommended!

I cannot recommend Scissorhands highly enough.Not only are they skilled at hairdressing, but they go out of their way to ensure that you are happy with the result. They treat every client as an individual and get to know them, leading to trust and a deep knowledge of customer preferences.They have also strongly supported local artists and businesses during Covid with incredible generosity.

Just had my first visit to Scissorhands and could not be happier with the cut and colour Tess gave me! She had a fabulous idea for detail and made some quite proactive suggestions that took me a bit outside my comfort zone. But she was spot on and I am a happy customer who will definitely be back :)

I have been a Scissorhands fan for years and Daniel is a superstar stylist. I often get stopped in the street and told that my hair looks great and this is because it is a distinctive and terrific cut. The salon is relaxing, friendly and a great place to chill out and be pampered. I leave feeling like a million dollars as do the other happy clients. Love, love, love.

Been going here for about 5 years. I love Tess! She has done a fabulous job helping me embrace my greying hair. She gives me a cute funky cut every time (at least I think I’m cute!) and adds a few foils every now and then. Definitely recommend!!

I've had my hair cut at Scissorhands for about 10 years and can't recommend it enough. Great stylists and vibe. Have had Tess, Daniel & Wizdom cut my hair - all with great result! They have a good eye for detail and spend a lot of time on the finish. I always leave very happy.
