Perfect night out under the stars to watch a family movie. We took the picnic blanket and a thermos for dinner. It was a lovely evening with the birds in the background. We booked our tickets online which I would recommend as the first few rows were reserved for online tickets.

A magical movie experience under the beautifully clear and brightly starry sky. I particularly loved the choice of seating options, including a section of cafe tables and chairs to eat your dinner in comfort! Hats off to those who maintain the gardens and grounds.

I heard this place would close down soon. It's one of the most beautiful aspects of my childhood, and the greatest travesty in the universe is that not enough people go. Its surreal in how magically good it is. They know where it's at. There are not enough stars in the sky to rate this. Maybe I could get a job there, to help with marketing.

Best outdoor cinema in Perth. Fantastic location under the stars and surrounded by kangaroos and birds. Picnic tables where you can sit and eat dinner or have a drink. Chairs provided so no need to bring your own. AND cheaper than going to the regular cinema - what's not to love? Bring a blanket and cushion so you can snuggle up. A must do if you're in the hills in the summer.

Enjoy your picnic dinner and glass byo, cuppa or buy dinner from kiosk. Such a lovely venue. step back in time. Plenty of picnic tables. supplied kids can run around lovely grounds before movie. Enjoy bird life Maggie’s strutting around the grounds parrots in the trees . Comfy deck chairs although pillows supplied advise bringing a few more. Can’t give this place a high enough rating. Love it.

Great little cinema with a solid screen (not a inflatable one). Peaceful surrounds. Amazing that they offer complimentary cushions and blankets.I will take my own chair next time though for a bit more comfort.Overall great experience and I would definitely recommend.

The Kookaburra Cinema is a true icon of the Perth Hills. What can be better than watching a movie under the stars with your loved ones. Guys, do yourself a favour, no matter where you travel from, and grab a ticket or 2 to the Kookaburra. And it’s BYO - food or your favourite tipple.

Great little place for outdoor movies. Run by the community and deserves support. Well run, courtesy blankets and cushions. Chairs are set out in rows, but seats not reserved. So, arrive a little earlier to select a seat. Seats are outdoor chairs, Joined together to form rows. Comfortable enough with a cushion. Good sound and screen.
