My Sons took me out for Mother's Day tea. Excellent service, good sized meals and reasonable prices, food delivered with a smile. Place was busy but plenty of staff which made things run smoothly. Tables were cleared quickly. Would dine there again. Recommended. Thankyou. Dianne, Jeremy & Ben.

The best staff! Helpful, polite, warmly welcomed. Sensational food. Great wine list and a knowledgeable manager who can give you the heads up on good wineries to visit. You won’t be disappointed dining here or just popping in for a drink or to watch the footy - preferable though if North Melbourne had’ve won!

We had a lovely lunch there yesterday; it was very busy, and we ended up in the bar rather than outside in the sun. The staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful. The meals were close to, if not, the best Pub fare we have ever eaten. Perfectly cooked, fresh and well presented. Definitely we be coming back when we visit Bendigo again, well done guys

Lovely meals, quick service. Only prob was that girls were hovering to collect plates individually as each finished. Proper way is to clear plates when all have finished. My wife who is a slow eater felt hassled

Lovely dog friendly lounge and staff. And the food was amazing. Highly recommend the garlic and mustard bread with cheese and bacon. So much bacon. It was decadent.The staff gave the dog ice water which she enjoyed after our walk.

Large venue, but not that large that your voice gets lost with your dining partner. 350g steak cooked perfectly, chips were good, pretty close to being over cooked though. BBQ Parma was lovely. Both meals worth the price ($30 lunch special steak, $27 Parma). Staff friendly, premises clean and pleasant. Well done, we will be back next time we are up here.

Family celebration for a birthday. Staff went above & beyond to ensure we had a quieter private area given it was a Saturday night. Function room was a perfect choice with lounges as well as meal area. This allowed family time to sit & talk with a drink prior to ordering tea. Outside entrance was perfect for avoiding crowded lounge area. Meals were lovely and served in a timely manner. Staff very attentive and only too willing to meet every request. Thank you all

Golden Square Hotel
Tonight a small group of us decided to go to the Golden Square Hotel at 341 High St, Golden Square. We all ordered various meals. I had the Black Angus Eye Fillet Mignon cooked to the way I like it, and to perfection. The steak was served with chips, vegetables and mushroom gravy. The magic for culinary delights like this happens in the engine room, the kitchen. I wanted to make mention of the great work the chef did and asked for their name. We just call him ‘Snags’(?) came the answer. Well Snags, you prepared and cooked a fantastic steak. We all had a very pleasurable evening, good hospitality teamed with a 5 star steak. Well done!

A hidden gem Tony you need to be proud of your staff especially Tiarni watch out she doesn’t get snapped up by someone else. Great service great food and atmosphere we loved it , bit of a late find while we were in Melbourne, if ever you are in this part of the word and you want lunch or dinner the only thing that will disappoint you is that you didn’t book a table , well done guys ten stars from us . Andy & Heather the guys that always have candle lit dinners.

Seniors (old people) will find the meal plentiful. I thought it was a little small. Tasted quite alright. Mid pricing. Staff could learn to smile more regularly. Spirits expensive. Good parking.
