Flinders Dog Beach

This place was secluded and peaceful, natural beach walk. Not too many people. The beach was mostly rock pools, and a lot of seaweed litter with some stretches of sand. I lost track of time and explored for hours. The beach is scenic but the backdrop is just as nice, with big trees, cliffs and secluded big houses.

Dog off leash beach all day and all year.There is a stretch of long sandy beach at Flinders which extends for 2km from Dodds Creek beach, along Mornington Park beach to Manton Creek beach. This is a great area for dogs to explore, especially during low tide when rockpools are exposed.There are a number of access points. Near #1 The Esplanade, Flinders there is a small car park where a steep path leads down to the southern end of Dodds Creek beach. Another path leads to the northern end of Dodds Creek beach from #1 Spindrift Avenue, Flinders. Alternatively, you can park near the Flinders Jetty and walk 500m along the beach to reach Dodds Creek beach.Copied from Melbourne Playgrounds website.

My dog rates this as a 5. She does however rate everything as a 5 except dry dog food.

Reasonable area, parking is limited with short downhill track to beach. Not much sand but low tide opens up vast rock pool plateau. Footwear recommended. Bin located up top of track for doggy bags :)

Don't bother. Full of black rocks , smelly sea and not much room for dogs to run around , there's minimal sand

Love this beach! So does my dog willow! Last time I was here I collected some sea urchin shells… yes they were just shells .. great for long walks!

Quiet, dog friendly beach! You can walk all the way to the pier, but there is no signage for where it’s dogs on leash. Make sure you bring a jacket!

Hidden gem. Our favourite spot to get away from the crowd. We come here every Xmas day with our dog.
