Absolutely stunning! Came here on a week day during mind spring and it was so nice. It's like a utopian garden out of a children's story book. It's a nice place to get out of the city. There is no background noise of traffic sirens and distant construction works, just leafy tree rustles.

It's a well maintained private property.nice colours of trees and leaves...a good place for a picnic on the smallpond side..enough free area for kids to play..Short drive from Melbourne,we had good time with kids. And enjoyed our packed food there which we brought from home..I don't wanna go again.

Fabulous cool climate garden in the Macedon Ranges. It's incredible to see the work and love that has gone into the garden over many decades.The lakes are particularly beautiful and if you can get there in spring for the wisteria, do it!

Nice garden but overrated. Entry cost is over the top, $10 per person (children's under 12 free entry). You must take absolute care for your children because the deep lake is without the fencing.

A visit here is simply an uplifting experience, especially in Spring when the wisteria is in full flight. Lucious, elegant and meticulously maintained, this stunning garden will transport you to an enchanted domain. A lovingly curated, ecclectic mix of gorgeous vistas intoxicate the senses and like a aged tokay, the floral delights linger deliciously. A must visit heavenly delight.

Probably the best garden in the area. Very well maintained and clean. We loved our trip there, nice dedicated picnic area with lots of tables. Kids loved autum foliage and ducks around those mini lakes in there are just adorable. They also have a play area for kids to keep them occupied through out the day. 10$ entry for adults and kids go free. Such a value. All in all best place for picnic and to hangout away from hustle and bustle of city life.

With certain well-angled shots, it could be suggested that this is a stunning garden. It certainly has its charm and much effort has been put into it.Still...not exactly worth the drive up from Melbourne or the ticket price, when the Royal Botanic Garden is available for free with so much more to see.Positives:- fresh air- pretty flowers and the nearby brook- the geese and their baby- vibrant shades of greenNegatives:- my overall experience gave a sense of a once happy place that now has to be reluctantly put on display

This is a small sweet spot of paradise lost. Gets you gaping in wonder the first time for sure and keeps bringing you back in every season.A must visit in autumn to experience brilliance of the European-Aussie exuberance.

I absolutely loved these gardens, really an amazing place to visit. I do recommend to make the most of it, take a packed lunch and relax in the garden. I gave these garden 4 star only because they charge you $10 per person, which I do think is a bit steep considering there are others which you can go into for free. Cost aside, it is a very beautiful place.

Gardens of Tieve Tara
Went for a road trip up Mt Macedon. Wanted to check out some of the open gardens after having coffee and scones at the top of the range tea rooms. Found Gardens of Tieve Tara. $10 per person entry, lovely spot with the shades of autumn in the trees and Sqawk was entertaining. Only downside was lack of parking available and getting a parking fine because we didn’t notice the no parking sign.
