Nicest piece of fish I've had. Not usually a fan of fish & chips (never lives up to the BEST ever motto) This takeaway doesn't try to claim that motto but they should. Potato scallops are pretty damn good too. Great value and comes with a perfect view.

The best fish and chips we have had in a long time. The battered Spanish mackerel is a must and the potato scallops are amazing. Couldn’t recommend this place more!! Will definitely be back

Newell Beach Cafe is worth the detour. Owner operated, so they care. Takeaway menu is great. If they have local fish in, go for it, delicious. And they know how to cook it. Great fish and chips, and pizza available after 5pm. Easy out front parking, van parking across the road in a picturesque beach front park with public toilets, picnic tables and plenty of shade. Spoil your self at a good price.

Have been trying all the pizzas over the past few days, unfortunately tonight the pizza oven had died. I made a switch to a burger and chips, and I wanted to go back for seconds! TOP KNOTCH! YUMMO!

We visited here for lunch after a morning walk through Mossman Gorge. It's only about a five minute drive from the gorge, and well worth it!The Spanish Mackerel was delicious, perfectly cooked, the chips lovely and fresh and the calamari was so tender.The owners were really friendly and obliging. A great little find.
