Pennyroyal Valley View

Location drew us to Pennyroyal Valley View. Adjacent to the Otway Hinterlands, which joins the Great Ocean Road to the Farmland Valleys, this was a wonderful location, for daytripping and meandering around both the coastal and countrysides, depending on where you felt like visiting on the day. The property and the accommodation, are a mix of a working farm, a magnificent kitchen (farmers market) garden, our host's home with an adjoining one-bedroom guest house. Michelle & Andrew's home, is straight out of Grand Designs Australia, and the design of the guest indoor and outdoor areas, is well planned, easy and enjoyable. Furnished for comfort with style, and spacious yet cosy, every window and door had a view that you could get lost in for hours (including the bathroom!). On arrival, we had a lovely welcome and wished we had booked to stay longer. This was the right place, at the right time, for our getaway. We will be back, and next time, will less planned, so that we can enjoy the views, the serenity, and the kindness of our hosts. The bird life, nature, farm and domestic animals, as well as the forest, bushland, house gardens and farm, was a visual feast. Congrats on sharing your beautiful property, and welcoming new friends to stay. We felt well looked after and equally left to our own company in the privacy of our accommodation. The information kit, the where to visit information, enabled us to have a completely enjoyable stay. Thanks again, we have lovely memories, and will be back to visit and stay again. We had an amazing stay, the place and surrounding are very relaxing. Andrew was a wonderful host, always there to provide anything we needed. They do propose improved breakfast and also BBK which I would highly recommend. They also sell some home made products from their garden or surrounding areas.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay with Michelle and Andrew at Pennyroyal valley View. We were welcomed as if we were family when we arrived. The accommodation is exactly as described - with hugely spacious bedroom, separate lounge area, gorgeous bathroom and well equipped kitchenette. The fresh, direct-from-the-garden complimentary produce was an added bonus and we also thoroughly enjoyed the gourmet continental breakfast featuring lots of home grown produce. The property is a haven away from the bustle of Lorne and easy to find with the great directions provided by the hosts. We'd had a longish drive to get to Deans Marsh and so after the initial warm welcome and directions to local shops for food, Andrew and Michelle left us to enjoy the tranquility of their beautiful setting. We availed ourselves of their movie selection and awoke to a beautiful morning which we put to good use enjoying a couple of the easy walks through their property. All in all a great place to stop, relax and enjoy the surroundings. An added bonus was taking home a box of fresh vegetables from their impressive garden. Wir waren hier für 3 Nächte. Es war einfach wunderschön. Die Unterkunft ist sauber, sehr groß und das Bad ist sehr modern. Wir haben uns sehr gut gefühlt und planen wieder hinzugehen - diesmal aber länger. Und man darf nicht vergessen zu erwähnen: Andrew kocht hervorragend! Highly recommend this accommodation. Everything is fantastic!!!
