Sarah is amazing! As an avid dog lover who has spent over a decade attending a variety of training classes and meeting various trainers, I can say that Sarah has been the most knowledgeable and provided the most personalised advice for our dog. We have had two private consults, one to help us through a tricky puppy phase and one to help us through a tricky teenager phase. Special shout out to Hades, who came along to provide real life scenarios where our puppy could practice politely meeting another dog!Sarah was also able to assist us when our very active Kelpie x Cattle dog required surgery at 9 months old and was on rest for 8 weeks. Although he was medicated to help keep him calm, and I was providing every type of food and puzzle enrichment I could think of, he found it VERY tough having his exercise restricted, regressing back to some old negative behaviours as well picking up new ones. After feeling like I had exhausted all my options, I contacted Sarah to explain our situation and ask to book in a board and train once he had recovered to help us all get back on track. Sarah was able to provide us with a very thorough consultation via phone and email. Within two days of implementing the advice we were given; it was like we had a whole new dog! He was much calmer and content and the behaviours disappeared.We now enjoy attending weekly group classes with Sarah and Rachael as a fun activity to keep up to date with our dogs’ social skills, extend on what he has already learnt, as well as learning new skills. The trainers cater to the dogs’ individual levels, making the exercises easier or more challenging as required. I love that the class is ongoing - when we are going on a trip, we let Sarah know and payment is paused for the time we will be away. We are then easily able to pick back up when we return.Throughout all our interactions, Sarah has exceeded my expectations. She is professional, approachable, extremely knowledgeable and it is easy to see that she is very passionate about what she does!I have recommended Best Paw Forward to colleagues and friends and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone that is wanting to better their relationship with their dog.

Sarah was fabulous in helping us understand our reactive rescue dog's behaviour and explaining in great detail why certain interventions work. She helped us pick up very subtle differences in how we behave with our dog and it immediately had a huge impact. She even brought her own angel dog to train with us!

I have been lucky enough to have Sarah come and help me with my dig dude Justice as well as having the pleasure of doing her group classes. It is because of Sarah that that Justice is dog that he is today. I have never owned a deaf dog and it was because of Sarah and her wealth of knowledge and guidance that Justice has become balanced and confiden. She made sure that Justice was to the task and guided us on his journey to become an Assistance Dog she was with us every step of the way. Sarah has always gone above and beyond to help her clients and their doggos and would recommend her to yon who needs help.

I got in contact with Sarah on the glowing recommendations from my vet for help with my dog's incessant territorial barking. I can see now why so many people sent me to Best Paw Forward. It has been a little over a week since our first visit and my pup is already very clearly improving every day on Sarah's guidance. She was an incredibly open and approachable person, treated my dog with love and respect, and very clearly knew what she was talking about. There wasn't a moment where I felt my dog wasn't completely adored by her, and the session itself was incredibly informative and comfortable. Sarah went out of her way to send me an email with helpful links to everything we had gone over in the session, which was greatly appreciated. She was also insistent that I contact her if I need any refreshers or quick tips, which really cemented how passionate she is. The most amazing dog trainer. We have a GSD who was uncontrollable when out and about. Super hyper and very vocal. From his first training session with Sarah, we immediately saw improvements. I cannot recommend Best Paw Forward highly enough.

Sarah has been so wonderful with our dog reactive doggo. We saw such massive improvements even from the first lesson! We have continued having lessons with her since & find that we learn something new each time. More than a year later and Sarah is now helping us transition our new puppy into our family. An extra bonus is our dogs LOVE Sarah - we've never seen our older wag her tail as hard as she does when Sarah comes round! Highly recommended!

Absolutely amazing!!! Out of the many trainers I have seen with my dog, Sarah has 100 percent been the most knowledgeable and helpful. Only a few sessions and already Cara is showing big improvements. I can not even begin to explain just how amazing of a trainer Sarah is and how grateful I am. To have been told that Cara will never be able to be near or okay with other dogs by other dog trainers, through Sarah's patience and perseverance with Cara and myself, they have been proven wrong. Cara who before Sarah was dog reactive to every dog within a 30 metre radius, will now sit happily next to Sarah's dog Hades and is also rarely reactive to other dogs.
