The best thing, apart from the cool, viby, local bar scene ( a woman sat alone outside reading a book as we arrived), in this BoBo part of the inner west, is the amazing genuinely delightful staff. Had a 50th upstairs this evening, and the staff were impeccable. Literally until closing. Who stays positive and helpful that long? Perfect dive bar with cosy function room upstairs.6 good tap beers. Contemporary cocktails. Dive bar also means the building is a case of beautiful decrepitude"

Been here twice (once on a Sunday afternoon for a cocktail and chips to share and once on a Saturday night after dinner for some spirits)The first time we came was on a Sunday afternoon and we ordered a couple of cocktails which were really nice and had a lot of cocktails to choose from on the menu. We also ordered some fries and there were really nice! It was a lovely Sunday afternoon.The second time we came to Rio was for a couple of drinks after dinner on a Saturday and it was much busier. We sat outside and it was really noisy as a group was having their Christmas party. The staff remembered us from last time and was really friendly again.I found Rio was much better on the Sunday afternoon as it was much quieter and more relaxed so I would recommend coming here on a Sunday afternoon.This is an amazing bar for Summer Hill. I highly recommend and will be coming again.

Best cocktail bar in the area! Amazing atmosphere and tasty drinks. Staff is super friendly and the food is to die for! Main bar can get quite noisy but you can always retreat to the cozy courtyard.

I drive pass here all the time and I don’t know how I missed this place. The beer here is amazing. As Arnold Schwarzenegger says I’ll be back.

Love this joint!!! My fave spot to wind down with the best cocktails on the block, delish menu and customer service is all ways consistent and with a smile. Highly recommended spot to get what's good!!

Omg my new favourite place! Lived in the area for decades myself and I don't really go to the local cocktail bars but so glad I did here.The staff are soooooooo nice so fun I actually feel like I am away on a holiday somewhere (especially when I leave lol) the cocktails are awesome! Great ambience! It has 2 levels. The decor is so cool. If you ever get to visit ask the the story behind the place! Tess and.her staff the best fun and makes a nice change to summer hill to have some funkiness and smiley faces❤️❤️❤️ best MartinisLove Jane x

Had the best night here with friends. Cocktails are delicious and reasonably priced, super friendly staff and the owner goes above and beyond to accommodate our crazy group requests. The ultimate venue for functions and friend catch ups, I just can’t stand the Newtown scene anymore it’s too much. Glad to have found this gem of a local spot. Thank you Rio team Xx
