One of the best places to enjoy some good breakfast and the beautiful view of Kingston.The food is amazing and the staffs are very friendly.The Margate Train is a tourist attraction and shopping area located adjacent to the Channel Highway in Margate. Having food served in this heritage spot is just awesome. If you are here at the right time you can enjoy the beautiful lavender farm just across the road.You should give this place a try for sure.

This place is a must.. Staff are so friendly. Got served by Ben, he introduced him self to myself and husband and my 2 children. Our pancakes were amazing.. I recommend getting half serves as they are very filling.. Great value for money..

Im not a breakfast person but WOW, if I lived near this place, i would be having breakfast there everyday. My wife and I went hear on our last morning of our honeymoon before our cruise ship was setting sail for home and we wish we went here earlier. The owner was so nice, had a great chat, the staff were friendly and the food was amazing. We honestly would only come back to Tasmania just for this place, litterally wouldnt come back for anything else but the food and service and atmosphere offered by this wonderful restaurant.

Delicious!!!We got the berries pancakes and the Nutella and strawberry, half portion is more than enough!The Benedicts where also great!The only thing that wasn’t what great were the sausage rolls, but that was okay.Staff 10 points

We went there on a Saturday arvo and it was not crowded at all. Service was good and the food was yummy. I had “apple and cinnamon pancakes with ice cream” which was excellent. Got the half potion and it filled my belly up quickly. My husband got pancakes with berries which was good as well but I preferred mine.

The most perfect pancakes I’ve ever eaten. House sausage rolls are also excellent. Owner/manager Ben is absolutely lovely, so attentive and accommodating to dietary requirements. Seems like a guy who genuinely enjoys what he does, and he’s good at it. Everything is well considered here, like real cream, good quality meat that’s well cooked and seasoned, even the side salads are perfect. Highly, highly recommend!

What a great stop for brekkie. Great sized portions, super fresh and if you are a pancakes fan, this is as good as it gets. Ben the owner is also a great guy for the chat and gave us a locals history lesson whilst still being super busy. A must if you are on a road trip south of Hobart!

We had a wonderful Good Friday breakfast on the Pancake Train. Warm and cute train, with delicious pancakes. Good kids menu too. Generous servings and allergy free options too.

Best breakfast restaurant in Hobart, and it was great to learn the history of the train. I highly recommend this place.
