I love this place: fantastic food ( we had the day’s special=tomahawk and ricotta donuts for dessert). Te services it’s great and the music is fabulous. Highly recommended :)

Food was nice but the Mother's Day set menu left us hungry. At $165 ($55 per person) it was expensive for the measly portions. There was only enough food for two not three. The music was annoyingly loud which left us shouting all the way through to be heard. Couldnt wait to leave. And we had to wait till 2.45pm for a table! Yet another arrogant establishment that thinks being hip in the inner north is a licence to overcharge for tiny portions of non fancy food and ignore diners' acoustic comfort. Only consolation is that with the blaring music, the proprietors will soon be as deaf as some of their older patrons who will not return.

Lots of local and interstate craft beers to choose from and a menu with options to please everyone. We visited with a family group, including two small kids. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual with an open design and high ceilings. There is a small outdoor area but the seating inside is large enough to fit 100 people. I ordered the muscles with sourdough and I can't remember having a better version of this classic dish. All the staff were very helpful and were more than happy to talk about the food or the origins of the local craft beers. Next time I visit Preston, I will definitely visit Stray Neighbour.

Stray Neighbour Restaurant & Bar Preston
This is the most amazing place. My friend and I had Sunday Roast Rib Beef and seriously we didn't want it to end. The meat just fell off the bone and delicious mashed potatoes and veggies. We decided that dessert was going to be worth trying. I had the Ricotta donuts absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this place and I will be telling my friends about it.

Large space with nice decor. Came to have a brunch. Roasted pumpkin was nice. Chicken Schitzel was okay. They offer quite a range of beers and drinks but would not recommend to grab a coffee.

Overall a nice experience.I have tried a few dishes here which were all full of flavour and the service was friendly.Weeknight specials are good value.The music is a bit loud inside.Definitely a good option for dinner/drinks in Preston.

Random find on a trip to Melbourne. Thoroughly enjoyed the Sunday brunch. Good coffee, Rueben sandwich and friendly staff.
