'Burrima' Boardwalk
It is such a fantastic set-up. The walk is beautiful and easy. There is some great information available. The people that run it are happy to talk to you about anything you want to know. The outcomes they've seen with their land management techniques are also phenomenonal. They've done such a great job.

'Burrima' Boardwalk
The Burrima Boardwalk to us was very disappointing. The boardwalk was so over grown with reeds that where 8 feet high that the only time you could see anything was if you looked straight up. Around the picnic tables and under the shades roofs where so over grown with weeds. To us it is a total waste of millions of dollars.

Absolutely loved it. Fantastic minimal impact infrastructure. The road in was a bit sketchy but they are currently fixing the road so I think it will be fine soon.Could hear wild pigs nearby, lots of birds, could see fish in the waterAlso public toilets. Wheelchair accessible also which is really cleverWorth every cent to support the upkeep of this experience. You do have to pay in advance to get the access code. Only Telstra service at the site

'Burrima' Boardwalk
Wow. Wish we had known about this incredible spot earlier. And more so wish we were not told over and over again that access was difficult if not impossible. It's easy enough to get to and the area is amazing! The Macquarie Marshes are home to 1000s and 1000s of beautiful birds and the environment is magnificent. Perfect for lovers of birds, nature and tranquility. Its best to get into direct contact with them by phone for accurate and up to date information (contact details on their website) The fact that this has been set up on privately owned land and managed by a trust is amazing. Thank you so much to the people involved what you have done and achieved is remarkable. And please don't accept as we did that the information, regarding access, provided by information centres is always correct.

Incredible place to visit. Go online and book a few days before. Internet reception is dodgy for non-Telstra service users.

You must register and pay online before going as there is no mobile coverage at gate, this gives you an access code to open gate , drove 210km only to arrive at locked gate, drove 20km to get signal then back to gate. Was worthwhile, boardwalk about 600m in length, great for kids and wheel chair access, toilets and a great area for lunch. Plenty of Emus near gate
