Connect Speech Pathology

We have been fortunate to receive Speech Pathology Services from Connect Speech Pathology for 3 1/2 years now. Our daughter is now 9 and has complex, multi faceted special needs. From a speech point of view, Connect Speech Pathology have worked with us to implement and maintain an extensive Augmentative Communication System (Proloquo2go), produce and support multiple visual schedules for use in our home, worked with school to optimise communication opportunities for our daughter and most of all made the gruelling task of multiple 'weekly' therapy sessions pleasant and fun. Connect Speech Pathology have also assisted us in assessment and implementation of plans for swallowing difficulties, drooling issues and also the use of speech alternatives in behaviour management and are always willing to share their knowledge and expertise with us. Connect Speech Pathology have always been supportive of us as a family and have provided letters of support for services and school when requested. The team at Connect Speech Pathology are patient, caring and understanding in their service delivery and I highly recommend their services to anyone seeking Speech Pathology support for their child. Connect Speech Pathology have been flexible with appointments during difficult times for us and the regular bouts of illness we support our daughter through. We are very grateful to the team for their holistic approach and commitment to giving our daughter a 'voice'

Both my kids have been going to connect speech for over 2 years now and their progress has been amazing,their speech therapist is always there if you have any questions or need anything my children’s speech therapist is always a call or email away and is very attentive in getting back to me and genuinely cares for my kids progress and wellbeing,we are very greatful for all the help and five star therapy we receive and I say we because I also get tips on what to do at home with them this helps me guide them,definitely one of the best thanks agian.

I write this email with great disgust. I have had the unfortunate, very unprofessional and extremely disappointing encounter with someone I would have thought to be child orientated and wanting what is best to help children improve their language skills. My Child has been unwell for some time and when I called to discuss options for him to return, I was utterly appalled at the response. Mind you, my son was with this speech therapist for 2 years prior to him being unwell. They were extremely unhelpful and went onto to discuss about costs for next year. Its actually about the child not the money. I have also sent them e mails and had no reply. I would not recommend their service as the quality of care is totally inappropriate. I have since looked around and found another speech therapist who was more than willing to help us. There are still nice people around, its not just about money. The welfare of my son should come first as should all children with special needs.
