Penong Hotel
Only went up to the Penong hotel to have a meal. Both our meals were fantastic. Went back for Sunday night pizzas. Good as well. Meet the cook, she was Lovely and complimented her on her meal. Sometimes they are the ones who never get mentioned or receive feedback. Atmosphere in pub was friendly. Barman was flat outbut still provided good service..

Stayed here on our way back to perth, friendly staff who run the place, nice and clean rooms. Had dinner here which was very nice. Parking is good around the back.

Epic little pub. Beers are frosty, perfect. Bowl of chips and gravy as good as I've ever had. Harder than it should be these days to just get simply good food. Glad we stopped in.

This is a quiet and decent pub. We came here to get a pub feed and we arrived at 5.30pm when dinner started, we ordered at this time but the food was finished by 6.30pm, and we were the only ones who had ordered food. Was told this was the only place to eat, so we booked a local cabin at the caravan park only to be told they're not open for our one and only night. If it was my business and I was short of staff, I would have opened for a couple of hours and only put a couple of items on the menu. Cooking yourself is better than letting paying customers down in the middle of nowhere.We had to buy some food at the local petrol station which was disgusting. Avoid Penong if you need to get a feed, best to plan for another destination.

It's Sunday evening. We are staying in the Penong caravan park. It's cold and damp and a cold breeze is blowing. We strolled to the pub, it's warm and cosy inside. Beer is cold and the wine is tasty. It is Sunday night pizza night. We ordered at 6pm, it arrived at 7:10pm. So a long wait, but definitely worth it. Penong Pizza with beer and wine. Very pleasant.

Fantastic meals. We were a bit sus ordering seafood expecting it to all be frozen out of a plastic bag. But no! All prepared on-site by the cook. Really great. Beer was also good.

Good food, happy atmosphere. The bar is very blokey. The accommodation is simple and there are no ensuites. There's a small dining room with a small fridge and kettle. Keep your expectations low and appreciate value fir money in a small town with limited choices.
