Penola Catholic College

Attended awards ceremony today and it was my first visit to the school. Wow what a wonderful school. Very well organised and all the teachers were so friendly it was a real pleasure to visit the college.

2018 was the best year of teaching and learning in my 31 year career. The students worked with staff in developing a community of respect, trust and openness. The ongoing process of renewal is truly inspiring.

Someone really need to do something about the year 10,11 and 12 students. Their behavior on my bus is utterly inappropriate. Things need to change ASAP!

The talented team of teachers and leaders in this school are definitely impressive. As a former student of this school it has been inspiring to see it develop into the innovative and contemporary College that it is today.

This is an absolutely awesome learning community and I could not be more proud to be the Principal for the last 3 years. The staff are committed, passionate and incredibly hardworking. We are transforming the college into a contemporary learning community preparing students for the future world of world ! Bright students with so much potential !

McCarthy Catholic College is an excellent College offering multiple pathways for students with a diverse range of subjects in a flexible and agile learning environment. The staff take the time to get to know their students treating them as young adults preparing them to meet not only today's challenges but also tomorrows. The College Community is actively involved in may social justice initiatives with Vinnies and JSS to name a couple. It is a great school located minutes from the heart of Penrith and only 500m from Emu Plains Station.

This school takes great pride in getting to know individual student needs and ensuring that these are factored into lessons and future planning of the college. The staff are extremely approachable and have created an aspirational environment for all to succeed

half way through year 7 2022 and I have a good experience making new friends. the teachers are helpful and help you trough your work. Penola catholic collage staff are kind, thoughtful and generous. They think of the students getting bullied and they do a lot about the bullies in Penola. I recommend going to Penola its a great school and welcoming.

After moving schools half way through year 8 I found myself at what was once known as McCarthy. Penola has helped shape me into a better person.From changing schools I became more grateful for the things that Penola had that my past school didn't this includes, the great facilities and learning spaces, the technology advancements helping students learning, the supportive nature of the teachers knowing every students name and never walking past without saying hello and lastly the acknowledgment of difference that the teachers had and their ways of learning helping to advocate for every student no matter their disabilities.I am forever grateful for my time at McCarthy/Penola and for the amazing teachers that have not only helped to make me a better person but a much more confident one too.
