Great company value for money

We had a leak into the back of our wardrobe from our shower. Steamatics assured us they would use a device to measure the dampness in the walls, heat fans and dust extraction fans to dry and whilst removing by the damaged plaster. The used none of the equipment to be able to professionally and accurately remove the wet plaster to expose and dry the brick. They removed some of the plaster from the water damaged areas and said they would come back to remove the rest as their equipment became to hot to continue to work. They then closed the job via our insurance claim before completion of works. When questioned the company said they were certainly finished and that they were confident with their assessment. Another builder took a look at it and measured multiple wet areas that hadn't been exposed. They organised another company to come and compete the works. The professionalism of the new company, and the use of specialised equipment to do the job is what I expected from Steamatics. I'm disappointed that I wasted time restoring my daughters room with these guys in the first place. Glad I'm not footing the bill.

It's ok

This company does not clean furniture. They left a dining chair outside for 3 months after a house fire.They scratched my 2000 dollar bedroom suite either taking it from the premises or returning it. My coffee machine was returned without its accessories as was my vacuum cleaner. Glasses broken, dinner set returned with cracks in coffee mug. Dining table returned with bubbles from the the fire. The worse is I returned home and knew my mattress had not been cleaned. Took it up with my insurance company (cgu) and 3 times have been told it was professionally cleaned. Within weeks I had been bitten while sleeping. My doctor has confirmed it is bed bugs! Do Not store your items particularly furnishings with Steamamactic Adelaide!

The most appalling service. From start to finish it has taken 6 months to remove my possessions from my burnt home. I still have cupboards at the house that have not been touched.I went to the warehouse to check my possessions to find everything unrestored and filthy after I have been told they had been restored. So my possessions are basically beyond repair.I even found my dressing table full of personal items that had not been accounted for in their inventory.When I questioned it I received an email from Steve O'Connor of the Adelaide branch telling me that when they found out months ago we were underinsured they decided not to restore anything. Why are you telling me this now?I have never in my life experienced such appalling service.

Very poor service including over charging & to have lost the pictured leather carving that my father & I did together 50 years ago I did completely unacceptable.There was no consultation with us prior to carrying out any activities with costings & or quotes for approval.
