Viet Hoa Hot Bread
Below our expectations and definitely not up to the standard of Marrickvile or Top Ryde Banh Mi even though AUD6 is cheaper than the better ones. But we will not be back, there is very little fillings, bread is a bit soggy as well.

Its unfortunate to see the decline in quality from what Viet Hoa used to be.It used to be the place to go where youd wanted a Banh Mi anytime, 24/7...i remember the rolls used to be a little more satisfying even though they were slightly more pricier than the competition...you didnt care as there wasnt many other options at 2am in the morning..and youd expect it to be pricier based on the main strip...Possibly due to change of ownership, or the skyrocketing prices of ingredients, rent and whatnot...(probably a combination of everything that covid has given us) it was a bit of a miss for me this time around. The lady who'd served us seemed a little grumpy (i guess our order of 4 Banh Mi's meant customers arriving behind us may have had to wait longer..), muttered something unintelligible about the prices, and was not exactly generous on filling in the already small (and chewy) bread by the way. Amusing that the size of the tongs used to grab the ingredients had shrunk in size with everything else...To top it off, prices may be subject to change than what is advertised. The classic pork roll (Banh Mi Thit) remains at $6, but if youre wanting the privilege of a sprinkling of pork skin in it (it becomes the pork & pork skin roll - Banh Mi Bi) its becomes $7.50, not as advertised at $6...of which we'd purchased 3 of.Banh Mis have always been an underpriced offering and happy to pay more considering inflation, but Id rather go elsewhere to satisfy the stomach when there are so many options around the corner to choose from (just not after midnight).Sorry Viet Hoa hopefully things improve for you soon...

A good place for delicious Bahn Mi but I was overcharged.2 x Pork and Pork skin Bahn mi should have been $13, but i was only given $4 change from a $20 note. It was too late by the time I had realised. I think they ripped me off on purpose and it ruined my experience.

Saddest Bahn mi I’ve ever had. They left out the pickled carrots as well. Nem nuong was dry and not very nice. Disappointing as I’ve heard so much about Bahm mi in Cabra, and travelled to try it. There was no line unlike my experiences at Marrickville pork roll and King’s hot bread in Hurstville, so that says something.

Came here because a local vlogger raved about this place. To say that we were utterly disappointed is such a huge understatement. I would’ve been able to overlook how little the meat portions for the pork roll was and the taste was not even satisfactory. I’ll take it. To each their own. Whatever. The one thing that really ruined it for me was how RUDE the lady was. She accused us of not speaking up when, as a matter of fact, my husband and I did (loudly). And then she was upset that we kept ordering more. How rude can you be?!

I have heard this hot bread and pork roll shop never closes! Very no frills, a good pork roll and fantastic bread. Prices are still very good $6 for the standard pork roll.Good pork roll, the bread is what makes it.

Really good Banh Mi for really good prices, grilled chicken roll came out to be $7 which is super good considering inflation has been super bad lately. This place is the o.g. pandan waffle place too and they’re definitely worth getting, only $2. Fluffy and slightly crispy on the outside, not the strongest pandan flavour but the coconut bits throughout are a nice touch that make up for it. Highly recommend but remember it is cash only.

Wouldn't Return.Pork Roll/Banh Mi:I think it's just okay actually.Bread isn't fresh - no crisp break. Too much chew, will break your jaw.Barely any pate or mayo.Pork is thin.Bring Cash.

I have purchased banh mi from here for as young as I remember and it has always remained a staple in the highly competitive Cabramatta Vietnamese bakery market. Despite the incremental increase in price and diminishing size in portion size over the years, I have remained loyal to this joint. It is also one of the very places in Sydney serving authentic pork rolls 24-7.

THIS IS THE WORST BANH MI I HAVE EVER HAD.I am absolutely APPALLED by my experience at this store. The banh mi was EMPTY, and I was DISGUSTED to watch the lady handle filthy cash then proceed to manually put in the filling for the banh mi. I am praying that I will not get gastro. The bread was shockingly hard and left cuts all inside my mouth. DO NOT COME HERE.
