Amy and the Team at Loop are the Gold Standard in hair! I called Amy one day back in October 21 in desperate need of some serious colour correction. To my absolute delight she had a cancellation that day and told me to head straight in. Ever since then, each and every time I attend my appointment, it is nothing less than perfection! The vibe is professional, yet relaxed and calm. No pretence, just genuine, authentic passion for all things hair.Thanks Team Loop, you've saved my life (hair)!!!

A couple of weeks ago I went to Loop to have Ombre-style microbead extensions done.I advised the Loop Hair Salon senior stylist, Amy that I had never had extensions before. I therefore relied on the Loop professionals to guide me and make suitable decisions.The Loop senior stylist selected colours and decided to use a 3/4 head instead of a full head of extensions. I was told the appointment would take about one hour.After application, it was noticeable that there were not enough extensions (3/4 head) to fill out my head/make the extensions blend well. Some of the colours chosen for the extensions were too light and there was a stark disconnect/contrast between my natural ends and the start of the extensions. The lack of extensions and inadequate colour match made my hair look very unnatural. I pointed out that the 3/4 set of extensions was insufficient, and the Loop stylist agreed and ordered the final quarter of extensions, which would take a few days to arrive. It's a shame that a better assessment of my hair wasn't made at the start so that a decision to order a full set of extensions (including suitable colours) could have been made.The appointment was also about 2.5 hours long, far longer than initially advised. This time did not even include the application of the final 1/4. Staff also took a long time to work out how much I owed.I felt really self conscious over the next day or two. I spoke to an independent senior stylist who said the colour match was making the extensions obvious/hair look fake.I advised Loop Salon I was upset with the service and they defended their service by saying it needed to be completed with the final 1/4 and cut. I did not think this was an adequate response because one of the other Loop stylists said she thought it looked good when they had only done the 3/4 set. In other words, one Loop senior stylist said that the issue wasn't the service they had conducted, but rather that they hadn't finished the service, but this contradicted the words of the other Loop stylist who said it looked good as it was. I decided not to have the job 'completed' at Loop because I had lost confidence in their decisions / services.As above, I think that Loop defending the poor job as an incomplete job was not acceptable. The 'remaining' service would not have addressed the poor colour match initially made.I was there for 2.5 hours expecting a completed service, especially given the amount of money I dropped.In future, I hope Loop Hair Salon can acknowledge customers when they politely express dissatisfaction rather than becoming defensive.A small refund to acknowledge my dissatisfaction with the service was refused. This would have been enough to avoid this review.Reply to Amy - the choice to do 3/4 was yours - you said I think 3/4 will be enough for your hair. That is a blatant lie that I chose the 3/4. You looked at my hair and said 3/4 is enough.Also you know I am not wearing them now so don’t say that I am.Yes I asked for lighter ends but not a stark brown to blonde look.I had to go somewhere else because you didn’t finish the service in the time you said you would.There was no coercion. I asked for a refund before mentioning the review.I think it was more than reasonable to request this after being left in tears due to the result of your service.The process wasn’t really communicated without me asking questions actually… and that is irrelevant. It’s your job to provide the service and complete it properly in the time advised.There wasn’t much more to communicate after the application. It was not the right amount of hair and a bad colour match. It was not done in time. I went in expecting and being told that the service would be completed on that day and it was not.You are the professional and as I am not a hairdresser I relied on your professional decision making so please don’t blame me for the service you provided.
