Our dad, Gerry, is a recent resident at Regis Age Care in Nedlands. We have found the staff to be very professional, helpful and caring. It was a difficult decision to move dad to a care facility and we were very apprehensive about it. However since moving into Regis he has received excellent care and now is very comfortable in considering this his new home. As a family we are grateful and relieved that his needs are being met and sincerely thank Regis for all they are doing for him.

Nedlands has come so far they are really showing that change is their promise for the future. I do want to know what happened to the Cassy girl who looked after the lifestyle team? I haven't seen her in a while and she made sure I was always informed about Mum and she kept her promises of getting back to me. Mum loved her also especially when she brought in the pony

This is a wonderful and caring aged care facility. As a carer, I placed my mother into Regis, Nedlands for a carer break. My mother enjoyed her short time so much, she didn't want to leave. She wanted to make Regis her new home.Today, we are delighted that she is living life to the full. She’s made new friends, participates in a well organised social program, has an active medical care team, helpful, loving and caring carers, and a great menu with food variety and choices. We’ve received a high standard of professionalism and care by management and staff at Regis. There is a great deal of responsibility when entrusting a parent to a care facility. In turn, as clients, we need to cut-some-slack, be kind and give care facilities time to transition with their new resident. It takes time, patience and a great deal of care from both sides. In my mother's own words, I feel really cared for and loved here [Regis]". At the end of the day

My father recently spent time in Regis Nedlands. He is still having nightmares about it. We had planned for him to be there for 6 weeks of respite, but had to remove him in less than 3 weeks as we feared for his physical and mental well being. Don't be fooled by the posh exterior, lip service and smiling faces - not far beneath the surface is nothing but incompetence, inefficiency and extremely inadequate care. Whilst some of the staff were friendly and caring, others treated Dad in a rude and humiliating manner. Forgetting to give him his medications, forgetting to give him meals, rarely cleaning his room ( sheets weren't changed the whole time he was there) is just the start of a very long list. As far as I can tell the only aspect of Regis that actually functions adequately is the accounts department who are very quick to send the bill, which consists of charges for a lot of extra services you don't actually receive. If I could give this review no stars I would, but the system insists I grant 1 star.

ABC report was upsetting to watch and the employees concerned from Regis Ages care should be absolutely ashamed and they should be charged.

This is a wonderful aged care home. Staff and management team are superb. Always helpful, approachable and willing to go above a beyond for their residents. Lifestyle activities are fun and inclusive. There is a real sense of home at this establishment.

I am deeply saddened to share my experience with Regis Nedlands. My grandmother, who required full care and was entirely dependent, was subjected to an appalling level of neglect during her time there, noting that she was only there for less than seven (7) days as we had no other alternative than to bring her home.Firstly, the staff displayed a shocking level of incompetence. It was clear that they were ill-prepared to handle the needs of dependent residents. My grandmother was frequently left without assistance with a drink of water (let alone a meal).Communication with the staff was also a significant issue. When concerns were raised, they were dismissed with little regard for our family's distress. The lack of empathy and disregard for the emotional toll on both my grandmother and my family was truly disheartening. It seemed as though the staff viewed their work as merely a job rather than a vocation to provide care and support for elderly individuals. The lack of personalised attention and genuine concern for my grandmother was evident throughout her stay.In conclusion, I strongly advise against considering Regis Nedlands for the care of your loved ones, especially those who are fully dependent. The level of neglect, poor communication, and lack of empathy exhibited by the staff are indicative of a deeply flawed facility. My heart breaks for the dependent elderly who are left in the care of this facility.

Want to give zero stars but the site does not provide this.Just saw the ABC program tonight 25/2/2021, on Regis Redlands. The program outlined some dreadfall abuses of residents- bed sores deep enough to reach the spinal cord, one resident left out in the heat of the day for 2 hours resulting in 3rd degree burns, another dragged to the bathroom by 2 staff. Shocking!!Student nurses reported numerous abuses. I and many Australian will be keenly awaiting an outcome on the reports made. I am totally disgusted.
