After having many successful hosting experiences with no issues we had an 18 year old girl arrive who at first was playing nicely with our two kids. After she became comfortable in our home she would enter my daughters bedroom without knocking and would pinch her to get her attention. Then she began swearing in front of them and kicked my son several times in the back and tried to break his things. When we asked for her to be removed AHN expressed their disappointment with us and made me out to be a liar! We will never deal with AHN again and would recommend others think twice if you have young children and are considering hosting a student.

The host family I am living with is so friendly and provide me comfort and warm welcome. We share our cultures as the host family came from Vietnam and I am from a district in Thailand consisting of a Vietnamese community having only the same traditional foods to the host. In addition, the foods she (the host) cooks are superb. The environment is great for a nature-lover, with backyard, chicken, and peaceful environment. They also have a basketball net just behind the house. I can enjoy classical music due to their children play piano every after dinner. Everyday here in this house is like heaven; I can enjoy diverse and delicious meals, exercise by playing basketball, relax in the backyard while watching the chicken and wild birds, and listen to classical music from piano after dinner.

I felt this company is not a honest and distrustful company that people should stay away. Being in Canberra for so long and hosting for 3 year never has a complain . Only for some nonsense reason that student are coming less and less to Canberra that I got stop placing student by this company. Calling this Melbourne office to rectify alway receive an unprofessional reply that your house is far. True my house is far then why other host near my house and even further away from the bus stop can get student every time . Really really paused and warning host around not only Canberra but around Australia don’t waste time register with this company. Don’t waste your time and effort as they have their own favorite and business with some people so it will mot be your turn to get student even if you try to register with them

I have had two homestay students and have been amazed at how well they matched the students with our personalities. The students fit in well with our family and I have been thoroughly enjoying having the cultural exchange. The staff have been friendly and offered support with any questions or concerns that I have had. They provided me with a list of house rules to help set out what was expected during the student's stay and encouraged me to treat the students as though they were our own children. (Which we have.) Our first student was only for 12 weeks and our second student was for the entire school year!I cannot speak highly enough of the team at AHN. Thanks guys for your support. Keep up the good work! : )

I started hosting homestay students since 2013. My such experience has proved to be a very fun and enriching journey both to my family and my students! While assisting students settle down further to explore this new country, we also obtain the opportunity to widen our scope learning different culture, language and engaging with various people . Most of all, along all these journey we have made new friends and have had expanded our family! Of course some times things can turn out to be a bit tricky. However my gold principle is we be open, inclusive and keeping the communication line with each other, we can always find a solution. At the end, I would like to take this opportunity to thank our friendly AHN team. Without their strong support, we wouldn't have gone this far. Thanks to all. It's been FUN!

Studying in Australia is my first long trip, so I preferred homestay to adapt to life in a new country smoothly. I'm glad I chose AHN. The AHN team found a great family for me near the university. Homestay has helped me to adjust to the new culture, feel safe and enjoy my stay in Australia.

Great company to deal with the people are friendly and available to help you in anyway that you might need. They inspect our houses to make sure everything is safe for the student. In doing so they care of both the host family and the student. We have had many students and have been happy with the outcome every time. Thanks guys you do a great job!

This was a very unsatisfactory experience for me as a host. The weekly rate was low and quite a bit less than shown on the website. When I contacted AHN, they said that was because of all the advertising they did in Asia. When I questioned why they did not tell me that before I accepted a student, they said they had emailed the information to me at an incorrect email address. Funny, as I received information on the student, so not sure why they hadn't updated it on the system. I calculated I just broke even when all the bills were taken into account. I called a couple of times for various reasons and found the staff either indifferent or rude.

We have had a wonderful experience with AHN. A delightful student from Hong Kong, he is well suited to our family and a pleasure to host. He has become a part of the family very quickly. AHN has been wonderful to deal with, particularly Amanda. Excellent professional service.
