The Tongdak

Ordered for the first time. Always order from Arirang but they were closed. I love me some boneless Korean fried chicken. I had to set up a menulog account (Arirang use uber eats). Three reasons why I am giving Tongdak a one star:1. For the price of the chicken, I expected boneless fried chicken, like every Korean friend chicken restaurants offer. I got chicken wings instead. This is what I call a rort. Two small boxes of chicken wings does not cost over $50, period.2. From when I placed the order to when it arrived at my doorstep, it took over 90 minutes. I called the restaurant twice and they are blaming the menulog driver. Absolute lack of accountability. Instead, it is seemingly normal to have my food there sitting for over an hour and have cold food delivered to customers.3. Not flavourful compared to other Korean fried chicken in Canberra. This would have to be the worse one yet.Avoid if possible.

I love this cheese buldak..Very spicy but the taste is really nice

Seafood fried rice was nice, but I wish the fried chicken had a better flavour.

Super friendly staff and great food! My favourites are their beef bulgogi and crispy chicken on the rice with mayo and teriyaki sauce. I am always happy with their service.

I always go to Arirang to have Korean food. My friends suggested me here to celebrate their graduation ceremony. We went here last month.Terrible service. No service at all! The Korean girl told us they don’t have tap water. Let us buy two bottles of water. When we ordered, no smiles on her face.Chicken tasted good but we won’t go there anymore.

Ordered the Single Set Menu which includes 2 x dishes (#8 - #18) and 1 x single size fried chicken dish (of your choosing) for a total of $45. This set menu also comes with 2 bowls of rice, 2 bowls of miso soup and the customary sides (kimchi, pickled radish, cabbage).We ordered a pork bulgogi (#10), a hot and spicy chicken with cheese (#13) and a korean sweet chilli fried chicken.Food was pretty good and we loved the fried chicken. Got a refill of sides and staff were more than happy to hand out a takeaway container for the leftover food.

I don’t post reviews but this was so beyond a joke that I couldn’t ignore it. The $18 ramen + $2 for egg was straight from a packet ramen. The broth was fake chicken bullion flavour and incredibly salty. The egg was just a dry scrambled egg cut into strips. The $30 “large” chicken cheese fit on a small plate and tasted terrible. The dumpings looked and tasted like they were microwaved from a packet.Terrible inedible meal. Overpriced, small portions and awful taste. Never going back to this place.

Ordered chicken family, got wings. No flavour!! KFC wings taste better. Rip off! $49 for 2 box of wings!! Absolutely Bulls**t!!
