Garden of Roses Cafe
We stopped for lunch while on a road trip. The service was friendly and the food fresh. The cafe itself has seen better days. Toilets out the back but no locks on doors or have washing facilities.

Great building, xenophobic vibes. Huge eye roll from the shop attendant upon seeing me - this is after being very friendly to a crying toddler - then charged me $8 for two Splice ice blocks !! No prices listed and $1 eftpos charge which she did not bother to mention.

A real vintage milk bar/cafe complete with magnificent stained glass and ornate ceiling The menu has all the favourites and the coffee is good Servings are generous and the prices are low The service is fast and friendly Great for families and for those who want a little blast from the past with good value for money

Classic burger and chips place. Lovely old period features in the building. Has a pool table! Chips come with liberal dose of chicken salt if that's what you want.

We ordered two (2) takeaway hamburgers with the lot & the ($3) minimum serv of chips. The burgers were good and the chips plentiful although the latter were slightly soggy.A clean establishment with old-town country charm.Beware: Have cash as credit & debit cards are not accepted.
