I am so happy that we chose Rope & Pulley as our wedding photographers. Katy helped make the whole experience more enjoyable and easy. Communication through the whole process cannot be faulted and considering we had to postpone 3 times, I was grateful for Katy's flexibility. Our photos have turned out to be more beautiful than we could have imagined and we honestly can't thank Katy and then team enough!

The absolute dream team! Rope and Pulley were absolutely incredible!!! From fast communication, understanding our wedding plan/vibe, bringing the tunes to the after photos, to dancing on the beach, Matt executed a seamless day!! We chose to have one photographer and somehow Matt was everywhere and did not miss a shot! Our family and Friends loved how he made us all feel comfortable and joined in with the fun. For a couple who didn't want to waste time away from the event, Matt sped things along and absolutely blew us away with the results! The couple shots turned out to be one of our favorite parts of the day. Now that is clever photography skills! Thank you ever so much Rope and Pulley, you are an incredible and a dedicated team who we highly appreciate and recommend.

Katy and Matt were our wedding photographers. They did a full 10-12 hour day, with all the stress that comes with weddings generally, and were an absolute pleasure to deal with before, during and after the event. On top of this, the quality and volume of their work was amazing. They had some great ideas for shots and locations that we never would have thought of, and captured easily the most special moments of our day, particularly those little action shots and poses that you would never think to get. They did all of this without complaint, often lightening the mood to make sure we really enjoyed the day. We couldn't recommend them enough. (NB - photograph attached is taken by me with their equipment, Katy and Matt's photos are much better quality).

I had Matt for my wedding. During the planning process he was very thorough and friendly.On the wedding day he was so relaxed and easy going which kept my nerves at bay. It actually started raining when it was time to take photos yet he was flexible and worked around the rain. So we got beautiful photos in the chapel as well. He had a mixture of photographer guided photos and natural. All styles looked fantastic.Sneak peek photos were ready in one week. They are beautiful and I can't wait to see the rest.Many of my guests had even commented on Matt saying that he was great. He just made the whole experience relaxed.

Our wedding day wouldn’t have been the same without Katy from Rope and Pulley. From the moment we met over zoom she felt like a friend and we instantly clicked with her down to earth, funny and calm nature. She was so easy to communicate with right from the beginning and on the day she made everyone feel so natural and comfortable. She captured some absolutely incredible moments, and most the time (in the best way possible) we didn’t even know she was there!! She was our ultimate hype girl throughout the entire day and not once did we feel silly or awkward in front of her.We also had an engagement shoot with Katy before the wedding (which we’d definitely recommend) which was the perfect ice breaker to make sure we felt comfortable in front of camera on the day. We had to post pone this a couple of times and Katy was more than flexible to reschedule and even offered to drive to Sydney to snap us on a day outside of the hectic la nina rain.We couldn’t be happier with our photos - and we’ve only received the sneak peeks!! Our friends and family absolutely loved her and we’ve received so many compliments both of how great she was on the day and how incredible our pictures turned out! Katy’s a complete natural at what she does and we love that she captures more than just pictures, but the feelings and emotions present by both us and all of our guests on the day. We couldn’t recommend Rope and Pulley more and we hope that we can continue to stay friends and have them capture more family milestones for years to come!

Where do I start!?I am so glad that we chose Rope & Pulley for our photography on our wedding day. The whole experience from an initial phone call to the photography on the day was so easy and stress free. Matt was so down to earth and relaxed however managed to capture all the little in between moments and looking back on our photo's is just the biggest joy! I wouldn't go past Rope & Pulley for your wedding photography and videography!

Trying to organise our very small wedding, in the Hunter Valley, was difficult due to Covid lockdowns in 2021. We wanted to use local businesses and were so happy that we found Rope & Pulley. Katy was fantastic! She reassured, communicated and worked with us as the date was changed three times. We always felt that our wedding with 8 guests was just as important as any large wedding. On the day of the wedding, Katy fit right in with the family, taking beautiful photos to capture our day. The photos are fantastic and we felt very relaxed with Katy.Barbara & Cameron

Katy was magnificent at our wedding - so many of our guests have asked me who she was. Incredibly calm, very cool and highly skilled at telling our story through beautiful photography! We could not be happier with our photos.

I am positive that one of the best decisions of my life will be hiring Matt as our wedding photographer. I love photos and so capturing beautiful photos on our wedding day was very important to me. Matt’s photos are better than we could ever imagine. He is an incredible photographer. He is passionate about his craft and works hard to capture all the shots that you have always dreamed of having. He has such creative vision. He captures light beautifully and he innately knows how to capture the stunning candid moments that you want on camera. My uncle commented that during our reception Matt was everywhere, capturing the smiles, the tears, the laughter and yet he always stayed in the background - the day was never about him. He was never overbearing, he never felt the need to be overly enthusiastic nor to over-direct us. Instead he was genuine, relaxed, warm and welcoming. My husband and I had the best time just hanging out and letting Matt capture us in the glorious way that he did.Matt was also wonderful in the lead-up to our wedding. He created the perfect timeline for us and was so happy to talk through any questions or concerns that I had. Matt always eased my nerves both in the lead up and on the day. He absolutely has your back and a genuine desire to do the things within his control to make your day as stress free and enjoyable as possible.I could go on and on but the gist is that Matt is wonderful and you should go ahead and inquire with him as soon as you can - you don’t want to miss out.
