Maddingley General Cemetery

We completed a funeral here today in the Islamic section. Everything went perfectly. Thanks to all the staff for a great smooth experience.

To the caretaker / Gravedigger currently working at Maddingley cemetery dated 17/4/18 .You have no empathy for people who wish to make their loved ones grave areas looks nice .For example growing a bit of grass wheres theres mud .SHAME ON YOU !!! How do you sleep at night .

The current caretaker/gravedigger and trustee of this cemetery have no empathy for people who visit this cemetery to visit loved ones. I have many stories of how cold they are.The cemetery water is usually always turned off which makes it stressful when u cant look after your loved ones grave and or at least put water in urns etc for flowers. If I could remove my brothers body from this grave I would but sadly I cant .The caretaker should not be working here as the cemetery was once a peaceful and beautiful place now it's just messy and neglected.

Sadly my experience is not a good one.Right from the start, we didn’t receive our valid paperwork for months and months, despite requests for all information. Nothing was given to us and we were even told that we had “it”, since we didn’t know what we were meant to have in the first place, we knew for certain we did not have @it”.I myself requested via email to attend meetings, this just went around in circles via many emails to result in nothing.My daughters grave is overgrown with weeds, it has not been mowed for months!I have sent 3 emails, politely asking about where the plastic vases are kept, if any, like at other cemeteries, no reply.My husband and I are today, on our hands and knees, weeding and chopping to make our daughters grave look presentable.We have abided by the so called cemetery rules, kept all her flowered and mementos tidy and out of the way.This cemetery was so beautifully kept, now it is a disgrace to all who run it.We put out loved ones in your care. Please don’t tell me you are volunteers. You volunteered to take care of Maddingley Cemetery . The guy who is supposed to be taking care of this cemetery ........in short should not be there. HE is a disgrace to cemetery keepers, the world over.The problems we have had over our loved ones headstones, peoples ashes, and the Bull...t!!!,he brings up, would make a great current affair show.If we could move our family's graves we would.If I had to bury someone, it would not be at Maddingley, definitely not.Sir you are a disgrace.PS the only reason there is one star, you car't post without at least one star,Sir you don't rate in your position.
