Aaron absolutely made the reception part of the night so much fun! He nailed our vibe and there was always a crowd on the dance floor.The way he approaches your wedding day and understanding not only what your guests may want to hear but what would get you on the dance floor made for such a great night.

If you want a proper DJ - someone who reads the room, knows how to lift the vibe or take it down, listens to your requests and generally just makes things 100% better, then look no further.This is not a press play on the same old tired wedding music playlist kind of guy. He's a skilled tune slinger and absolutely contributed to making our wedding the epic party wanted.He's great. Hire him.

Cut a Rug is the best DJ I’ve seen at any wedding where I’ve MC’d (I’m a celebrant and MC, so I see a lot).He has an ability to read the dance floor and the crowd, and is completely non-naff with his music choices.He’s my no. 1 recommendation when my couples ask for DJ recommendations.

Perfect music match for our wedding. Nathan was fun yet patient and very accomodating for any ad hoc song requests. The process was easy and we all had a great time dancing the night away. Only request is that it could have lasted all night long :)

We booked Cut a Rug to DJ our wedding in 2014. Aaron is now referred to as 'the family DJ' because nobody in our family/friendship circle could imagine a wedding without him, to the point where wedding dates have been chosen around his availability (spoiler alert: he books out way in advance!)I am also a wedding photographer and I see a lot of different entertainment at weddings week in, week out, all around Australia. Cut a Rug is not like anyone else we have in this country. Music plays at weddings for almost the entire duration - from when guests rock up to the ceremony until you're kicked out of the venue at the end of the night. Because of this, the music has such a huge influence on the outcome of the wedding and deserves to be managed by someone with a high level of skill. I just know when I'm working alongside Cut a Rug that the wedding is going to be on another level of amazing and our couples are in excellent hands. Aaron's the hardest working DJ in the biz and his level of care for his couples and attention to detail is unmatched and super impressive.Whatever image you have in your mind of what a wedding DJ typically is, Aaron ain't it! Seeing crowds at weddings as they realise they are in for the most insane dance party of their lives is one of the best things about working with him / dancing on his dance floors.

We have not come down from the high that was our wedding! Aaron was the absolute best! He included the best mix of old school classics with massive dance floor vibes and our guests haven’t stopped talking about it.

Aaron and the team from Cut a Rug were FANTASTIC! We hired Cut a Rug for our wedding. Honestly, it made the night. Once the dance floor opened, it didn’t stop. We had asked our guests to RSVP with a song request, Aaron was very accomodating with incorporating the songs. The communication leading up to the wedding was very responsive and made us feel stress-free leading up to the big day. Our knees were so sore the next day from dancing the night away, best night ever!!

Aaron is next level! He was the most perfect DJ for our wedding!Being music lovers we wanted someone that played our style of music but also pumped out rocking party tunes. The way that he knew what songs to play at what moments meant that our dance floor was never empty! Aaron is without a doubt the best DJ in Brisbane. The music during the meal time of the evening was fantastic -- I gave a small brief on my favourite artists and he completely nailed the atmosphere. In fact, I had multiple guests compliment me on the music during the reception even before the dancing portion of the night started. As with all weddings, we unfortunately were running a bit behind, but Aaron definitely made up for this playing banger after banger for the smaller time frame than we had anticipated. However, this ended up being amazing because almost every guest was on the dance floor for the whole time! Huge thanks to Aaron. If you are thinking of booking a DJ, it should definitely be Cut a Rug!

Easily one of the BEST vendors we booked!! Our dancefloor was packed the whole night, so much so our photogs reckoned it was one of the best d-floors they’d ever seen. Money well spent and a thousand times better than a Spotify playlist. Aaron you were amazing - thank-you!!
