I purchased two Ridge Furniture sofas 9 months ago and after only 2 and half months they were showing a lot of wear and excessive pilling considering the amount of use and time frame. I rang Oz Design where they were purchased and despite the staff being very helpful Ridge Furniture was not. After making a complaint about the fabric I was sent an email asking if I had followed the care instructions and that the cause was most likely due to dust and dirt. The implication was that it was my lack of care and poor housekeeping at fault. I replied, assuring them that I was not a sloppy housekeeper and that instructions had been followed to the letter. All I have ended up with is stained cushions, mainly from the watermarks because I followed the directions and more pilling. I have heard nothing more from Ridge Furniture. I thought buying Australian made furniture would guarantee quality but quality fabric is not what I got. If the fabric is going to pill that much that it looks so shabby in a short time why use it??????????Definitely would not recommend nor purchase from the company again.
