I enrolled for cert 3 wall and floor tiling course good teacher

Hi, I am writing this to explain what has happened to me with the Gold Coast International College team. As an institution in general, you would get what you pay for, but when it comes to financial situations. They would rip you off no matter what. I completed Certificate IV of Business and proceeded with a Diploma of Business with them. Due to a change in my circumstances, I had to withdraw my application. The course was supposed to start on the 2/5/2022 and end by 31/3/2023, but they extended it to end by 9/6/2023, I emailed them on 19/5/2022 and informed about the change in my circumstances and that I would not continue this diploma. They then responded with a request to fill out a “Deferral Suspension Cancellation Withdrawal (DSCW) Form” to be able to complete my application. They also requested a cancellation fee to be sent to them to be able to withdraw my application.On a short notice, I paid freely an amount of money for a future term that I was not forced or obligated to pay at the time of the payment, which I did completely out of my choice, so I do not need to focus on making payments every month according to the payment plan and I did pay for the resource fee and the upcoming 4 payments starting from 1/6/2022 until 30/9/2022. I waited for about 45 days until I received an email from the finance team on 4/7/2022 with the response “As per the GIC Refund policies we do not process any refund of unused tuition fees after the course commencement”.Some of you might ask why I am writing all this; I am doing so to share my feedback of my experience with GIC, so others get to know what they need to do to avoid similar mistakes. If you ever get a plan to pay for a certain amount of money, never pay over that amount because they won’t refund anything back to you no matter what.What they teach you in GIC in business in unit (Lead effective workplace relationships) is to develop trust and confidence as a leader, but after this incident I realised that negotiation is not working as I tried contacting them and waited for long periods of time to receive such a negative outcome. In other words, “Trust is earned when actions meet words”.To conclude, I am not satisfied at all with not receiving a refund for something that has not been taught, that is something beyond the expectations from a reputable institution.
