Did a cake smash as a present for a friend and her little one for her first birthday. I cannot thank Kathryn enough her care and compassion on the day, even down to the baby bath photos to get all the messy cake away.Overall the photos were awesome and my friend was just delighted with the whole surprise from beginning to end.Thank you again Kathryn and will recommend your services

We had our cake smash done by Kathryn and she was nothing but fantastic. She was very fun and my son responded very well to her. We had the option to select what background and the colour of the cake. During the shoot we had plenty of time and was not rushed at all. We were very impressed with the photos and with the experience. I highly recommend Kathryn, she's professional, friendly and passionate about what she does.

Kathryn has a keen ability to capture babies and young children in the most wonderful and creative way. Her home-based studio provides a relaxing environment that brings out the best in the children and their parents. The results are outstanding.

I went and did a cake smash session.Cost was $390walked away feeling very disappointed.positives-advertised 40/50 photos, we received 52 photos-some of the photos are stunningnegatives-some photos were the same, one would expect same pose but different expressions.-felt really rushed and pressured. put the child down, take some snaps, next pose, more snaps, next pose, more snaps, ok we're done.-it was a 1 hour photo session, after 35mins we were ushered out the door.-did not discuss or let me pick backgrounds or decorations.-unfortunately for us, our photo session followed another boy cake smash so we had the same decorations and background as before.Ultimately I gave a two because I didn't believe I got what I paid for. I had in my head that this was going to be lovely and enjoyable for the whole family but it wasn't. I do understand that babies do loose it and you need to get the photos quickly, but also if it wasn't so full on stressful, the babies might not loose it in the first place.My initial fear was that an hour was not enough to calm the baby and get the shots we wanted, but when after 35minutes and we were being ushered out, I showed concern and was brushed off with I've got enough photos!" and "cake smashes are usually between 35-45 minutes anyway!""
