Yet to have a dish I haven’t enjoyed here, but my favorite is the raw beef pho, especially on a cold day! Great little local winner.

We were in Gisborne and went for a Sunday lunch. We ordered the chicken wings as a starter and cashew chicken and Mongolian beef as mains. The food all came out at the same time. There was no dipping sauce for the wings and too much sauce on the mains. Food was ok for the prices charged, but not great.

Fantastic tasting food, on par with or better than some Vietnamese restaurants Ive eaten at in Adelaide & Melbourne.Prices slightly on the high side, but still reasonable for being in a small regional town.Attentive friendly service, with a simple no-nonsense menu.

Went for a light lunch, I had a banh mi (crispy pork roll) and my partner had satay chicken skewers and rotti with penut sauce.. banh mi was average, chicken skewers were a bit dry and the penut sauce was average to (tasted like melted penut butter) not to mention there was only enough for half the rotti, pretty poor when your charging $9 for a bit of bread and sauce.. service wasnt to good either, when asked what we would like to drink i replied water and was pointed to the water to serve myself.

If you want to waste time and money on a Banh Mi then this is the place to go. Ordered a crispy pork roll and was handed back the below roll after a 10 minute wait. Quality is embarrassingly poor. Where is the crispy pork? There was 5 pieces of meat, none as per the order (crackling). No chilli, barely any pate or butter and it was very dry. Basically 5 pieces of pork shoved in a hot dog bun. I would not recommend.

Better than expected Vietnamese restaurant in the heart of Gisborne. The selection on the menu is authentic Vietnamese and there are many choices. The food was fabulous, fresh and full of traditional flavours. Unfortunately we all started the dishes before taking pics. The Pho was delicious as was the flat rice noodle in egg sauce combination. The one thing that let the place down was the service - it was slow and the “kids” serving did not know the difference from a white wine to a red wine. A little training would assist the service levels and their confidence.

Came for lunch with a work friend. The pho was absolutely phenomenal! Really super tasty broth. Bahn mi was also good, and the Vietnamese iced coffees are fantastic. Highly recommend checking this one out

A quiet venue, was bit busy at all... some of the staff need to be bought up to speed a little but other than that it's fine. Food is good without being outstanding at a reasonable price. The beef pho broth could be stronger and perhaps a little more meat in the curry... but over all a nice meal.

Trinh's always produces excellent food, we have never had a bad dish there. The wait staff are friendly and welcoming but are not overly attentive, on our last visit we had to get their attention to order our meals. The wait staff seem to be new so hopefully things will improve as they gain more experience. Overall though Trinh's is highly recommended.Update Jan 2022The wait staff have been working at Trinh's for a few months now and they are doing an excellent job now that they have more experience. They now recognise us and ask if we want the usual when we walk in.Awesome service!!
