Yin yoga with Luaun has been a revelation. The slow sustained practice has improved both pain and flexibility in my lower back and hips. Her classes guide us through the seasons- linking with my own experiences and providing a sense of connection to my body and world. I would recommend this type of practice to anyone battling to understand their sources of physical pain, hormones and place in the world. For me it provides both relief and joy.

I started practicing Yin yoga around 2 years ago after having a conversation with a Bikram yoga teacher about mobility and how Yin yoga would help my Bikram practice. After attending Luaun’s classes for a while and feeling the benefits of Yin yoga, I soon realised that Yin yoga would be the one yoga practice I would continue for the rest of my life.A lot of the benefits I have achieved with Yin yoga are also due to the direction Luaun offers during class, Luaun explains the progression of the poses and how to ensure you are listening to your own body. I cannot recommend Yin yoga enough, if I had my time over again, I would definitely have introduced yoga earlier into my life earlier. On the plus side of starting later in life with Yin yoga, was being extremely lucky that Luaun was the person to guide me through the introduction to Yin yoga. To which I will be eternally grateful.
