Property manager Karen was horrible to me and my family during a chronic illness, over receiving bond back, didn't believe I steam cleaned the carpets even though I provided receipts, and it is not a legal requirement of vacating, I did this as a courtesy, as the carpets were flooded by weather and poor construction and maintenence of the house. Again, this property manager threatened to withhold my bond because she believed I didn't steam clean the carpet, which is not a legal requirement of vacating, but I did, and I provided the receipt.My entire family’s health is suffering immensely with aspergillosis, Asthma, numerous ENT issues and MCAS to this day ever since living in the flood damaged mould affected rental house that Barry Plant Rosebud, namely Karen, refused to assist me with. The property manager was a vindictive unprofessional who went out of her way to make everything difficult for us on our vacating the premises, as she did not believe that repeated flooding on carpet was any sort of danger for a newborn baby and family to live in. House repeatedly flooded severely under scurting boards every time it rained (massive drainage issue) and I was told every time to “put a fan on it”. The amount of water coming in was several litres each time, soaking into the carpets. Each time I reported every recurring incident, I was told “put a fan on it”.I had a newborn baby. We all had to move into one bedroom upstairs. When we moved out, the smell of the water damage and mould was so debilitating, the removalist refused to go into the house and walked off the job! We have since had to dispose of 90% of our furniture due to mould contamination from this incident!Due to Barry Plants absolute inept and abrupt lack of action on the repeated flooding, I hired a water removing dehumidifying vacuum to deal with this at my own expense and it sucked up 3 bathtubs worth of water from the affected carpets! Still I was told by horrible female property manager that I must not have had a window open. Cliched nonsensical and in my case hugely untrue statement that property managers use when it comes to mould. The only way we could sleep in the property following the flooding was to have the window open 24/7 when appropriate weather! Still following this repeated flooding Barry Plant Rosebud refused to do anything about the water damage and told us to “open a window/put a fan on it”. Completely improper protocols for dealing with flooding including to use bleach which is both inappropriate protocol and useless as the water damage was not yet removed. Female property manager treated us with utter disdain when we requested if the severely water damaged now mouldy carpet in the affected rooms be removed. The old lino in the dining room was lifting and warping and the walls were bubbling and peeling. After we vacated flooring in entire downstairs was replaced as we noticed on the new listing. But apparently the severelt water damaged carpet was good enough for us to live in with newborn baby.Numerous belongings damaged and Now my entire family’s health is still suffering severely ever since living in this house that was riddled with mould from repeated floods which this agency was dangerously remiss in assisting with. I felt intimidated, completely unheard and gaslighted by your staff and now years later our health is suffering from the repercussions - disgraceful conduct which does not in any way benefit the tenant’s rights, home owner’s asset or reputation of the leasing agency.
