Cooktown Bargain Barn

I actually went there for massage. The woman works in a small room which is part of the Bargain Barn building. Peter is the owner of the Bargain Barn. Peter is always there to help you out, pick something up in Cairns for you (he also does transport on the side), or let you know who in Cooktown had what you're looking for. The Bargain Barn is more of an Emporium like they had in the old days. I have been going there for the past five years. Peter doesn't stock everything but he is not far off the mark. The words that come out of people's mouths where you ask where you can get a particular item is, have you tried the Bargain Barn. Prices are comparable when you take into account Cooktown is a remote community. My go to place for the quirky, and not so quirky.

Not the most helpful place in cooktown. It's more of a cheap outlet that is crowded and uninviting. Almost as if it discouraged shoppers but that could be hopelessly wrong of me. I had walked a long way on arthritic knees to get there only to find it was nothing like the web page.

Great variety store.Something for everyone. Peter is very helpful, picking up parcels or ordering things unavailable in Cooktown. Thanks Peter and sons for a great service to Cooktown.

Everything you could possibly need all in one store!

I love Bargain Barn. Every time I go in I am approached by every service attendant, the ones in store and out back. They always offer to order things in for me if it is not in stock, regardless of what it is. Price isn't Crazy Clarks" style

Expensive. .overpriced. ...I paid $16 for a container for sugar. .because I needed it. ..

If you need it it's probably there, always service with a smile
