Mercure Melbourne Southbank

Good location. Close to pedestrian bridge across the river, providing easy access to the CBD. Suitable family room for an overnight stay. Good breakfast. Helpful staff. Parking nearby.

I stayed for 8 days, same old menu in morning breakfast, no change. But excellent location in great price. Clean property

The hotel has a good location. The room was just clean but the floor was dirty. Unfortunately the sink was blocked, water went through slowly. They couldn't fix it due to no maintenance working on weekend. Staffs was nice, friendly. Breakfast was good. Maybe not coming back again.

This is great budget accommodation and very central, as we were able to walk to the local restaurants at Southbank and the Casino.The room was basic but clean and had everything we needed for an overnight stay. The staff were nice and friendly and we had a late checkout. We will be back.

The mecure southbank is in a great position, right at the top of southbank so you get the best of both worlds. Only a 5 min walk into fed square and the rest of the city and 1 minute to south bank, which walk continues down the river to lots of restaurants, crown, aquariam, eventually even reaching DFO shopping.. a super easy nice stroll.The rooms themselves are nice enough, but nothing luxurious about them. Nothing other then normal TV, no pay per perview movies, the room service is very very limited, only 4 pizzas and some drinks, with some microwave meals available and Tim Tam's with a few other little grocery things..The breakfast was nice, bacon,eggs, baked beans, musli, yogurt, tea coffee, pastries. But Coeliacs beware, there was gf bread and a separate toaster for gf bread BUT NO SIGNAGE and really silly people using it for normal toast...so it's contaminated...We had 3 guests but only 2 of everything in the kitchenette, the kitchenette was a nice touch.This hotel is a good choice for location and if your not going to be in the room or wanting to enjoy it, However if your after special and also want to enjoy some niceties on your stay, I would stay elsewhere.

Amazing location & very helpful staff. When we paid extra for breakfast we didn’t expect a smorgasbord of every breakfast food & drinks you could possibly think of! Only downfall was no parking on site but there is an undercover car park right behind the hotel & they can validate parking cheaper.

Great location but that’s where it stops. Bathroom had mould in it and fridge was turned off on our arrival so wasn’t cold and then we see it had mould in it. Call reception twice from the room phone they would not answer as soon as I call from an outside line they answer. Housekeeping walked in on us twice. And then to top it off they charged my card twice for the room.

Bathroom was disgusting, black mould all in the shower and on the floor around the shower base. I would never had stayed there had I have noticed it when checking in. next time I will stay at The Langham across the road. the only positive was the location.

Good value and quite central. Rooms are large and mine had a couch and 3-chair dining table. Also have a large kitchen sink and microwave which can save some money. Next door to the Skydeck observation deck and short walk across the footbridge to the CBD. Buffet Breakfast was decent and only $20. Overall a good mid-market option.
