We have almost completed our build of a complex 3 story home in Morningside on which Joh from Building Buddy did the design.Over the build quite a lot of variations happened and the team at Building Buddy were fantastic in sorting these.I have not been the easiest client and very demanding but all times if was shown total respect and all changes done without fuss.With the network of builders they have at hand we were linked up with Mick from Canetoad Constructions who is doing a professional and quality build.Been in the building game for many years and their process is straight forward and simple and very cost effective.I think when building a new home you firstly need to have an idea of what you want . Then get someone to put in a plan .Check what specs have been included . Then get someone to actually build it within your budget.Again Building Buddy a very professional and one stop shop to building your new home or any renovation on your existing home.

It has been 3 years since Canetoad Constructions started building our dream home from Building Buddy's design/plans.I would definitely recommend Building Buddy to bring you ideas to reality. Building Buddy was then able to provide prices from as many builders as he could. It was up to you who you chose as a builder. Going forward though you can't go past Mic and his team from Canetoad Constructions.I really liked that Building Buddy was a one stop shop. The ease of the process on selection was easy and straight forward even when it came to major appliance selection through their factory outlets.Would like to thank Joh from Building Buddy and his team in bringing our dreams to reality.

Joh and his team at Building Buddy are really great. Very helpful and down to earth and I feel like my renovation/extension is in really good hands. Joh has been very patient as we've worked through the various stages of design and redesign, question after question after question... and we are almost there! Joh and the team were Professional from the beginning and nothing was too much effort. We had plans for 2 x small lot homes and subdivision completed by Building Buddy. Joh was across all the small lot codes and was creative in the design process achieving exactly what we wanted. When we wanted to make changes it was done promptly with no fuss and of high quality. I will definitely be using Joh and his team again for further Projects. Highly Recommended.

Here at SCM Projects we like to keep our clients happy so it's imperative that we deal with reliable honest contractors and, having worked in with Joh & the team at Building Buddy for some 7 years or more on several occasions we have found them to be very competent and professional.A very useful aspect of dealing with Building Buddy is that they have a very flexible design system that integrates well with up to date costings, enabling reasonably accurate costings to changes that inevitably occur during the design process.

We have found the service offered by Building Buddy to be outstanding. The things we particularly liked were:1. Joh's ability to design exactly the house we had imagined.2. The patience to accommodate whatever changes we wanted through the design process and use of his experience and resources to identify better design options.3. Transparency of pricing. You get to see all of the costings in great detail with complete transparency. For example, when selecting plumbing and electrical items using Harvey Norman Wholesale, you get to see the prices the builder is charged and only this amount (with no loading) is included in the contract. The same goes for hardware and other items the clients select. No hidden charges. Everybody understand that a business needs to turn a profit. We accept this but just want to have transparency.4. The transparency also makes it easy to manage the overall cost of the project. We were able to make changes to the design and selections along the way to ensure the project remained within our budget.5. Access to a range of boutique builders. Joh works with smaller hands on builders rather than high volume project builders. We prefer to deal with a builder who only works on a limited number of homes in a year so they are closer to the actual build project. We couldn't be more happy with the builder Joh recommended to us for the style of home we are building.This is now the second time we have built a home with Joh and are glad we came back to see him when we wanted to build a new home.We would highly recommend the service Building Buddy offers.

Good drafting service. From start to finish changed our plans 22 times to meet our needs and just kept going. We didn't end up using his recommended builder but that builder seemed to be excellent. They under designed the bracing which caused some unexpected expense for the builder to fix at our cost but building buddy split the difference. I would use them again.

We built 2 houses with them. Right from the start Joh worked with us to maximize the site so we got two fantastic designs on the 2 lots. All the little changes we made were no hassle to them and it was for a fixed reasonable price. Joh then went on and did a 20 or 30 page document specifying everything down to the last meter for no charge which meant we and the builder knew precisely what to expect. The houses were then very well built by a great friendly builder and his team.

We have had the pleasure of working with Joh on a few projects including our new home we built with him.Joh was nothing but professional and attentive to our requested and changes.He helped us with the design of our house and the engaugment of a builder.We had a wonderful experience and would recomend anybody to do the same. he take the hassle out of the process.Thanks JohHighly recomended
