Explore & Develop Waitara - Early Learning Centre

The director is very very rude. She did not accept my son after I brought the clearance certificate from our GP as she is looking for excuse to send my kids to home. When my GP wanted to call to her she did not accept to talk. They also treated my poor son like victim and my son did not want to go to child care for couple of days. Not sure how they get exceeding.The yard is also not very safe. My son had couple of accident there. have a look the bridge and stones around that.

Our family attended this centre for 3 years with both of our kids having such a positive experience. The Director has always taken health and safety seriously, with all kids needing to wash their hands before entering (even before COVID) and there being strict protocols around being sent home when sick. She is also extremely organised, with rules and routines in place that we would also enforce at home.We loved all the educators that looked after our kids. They were genuinely caring, friendly and communicative with us. The indoor and outdoor facilities were both great, with a strong focus on nature, sustainability and recycling.Both our kids learnt so much there and it was a joy seeing them be part of this lovely community. Unfortunately we moved to another suburb and for convenience sake, moved our kids to a centre closer to home. We will always be grateful for care they received there.I would highly recommend Jo and the team at Explore and Develop Waitara to anyone.

Both my children have come through this centre from infants to school age. We have felt part of the family and found this centre to care for and nurture our children's individual needs. The staff are skilled and the centre has helped create my 2 very confident and capable little boys. The director is the owner and as such is invested in maintaining a beautiful and well appointed centre, along with finding exceptional staff for our kids. My children have loved attending.I recommend this centre highly.

One of the best childcare in Hornsby/Waitara area. Two of my children have attended this child care for more than 2 years and they absolutely loved it. The menu is amazing, the staff is great, good hygeine & regulatory policies to protect our children. I would definitely recommend this childcare centre to anyone looking for one in Hornsby or Waitra.

The principal and one of the teacher is so rude and racist. It's so disgusting! I have lodged a complaint with the Education deparment of NSW. And I would advise my friends around me not to let them send their children here. Becareful mums!!!

All the staff are sensational. They adhere to all the safety procedures regarding Covid and I feel my child and myself are protected.Thank you for all your support and assistance in bringing up my baby.I know she has benefited greatly from all you have done for her.It is so easy to write horrible things I so wish people would give credit where it is due.

One of the best childcare I have seen so far. All educators are very friendly , caring and take very good care of little ones.

Multiple families have noticed that one of the educators is rude and discriminative to people from non-English background. Bully in childcare -- according to her: no one noticed = nothing happened = your child is a liar; according to the director: no injury = no bully = my staff is nice and professional = your family has problems. The director thinks she’s not only a boss to her staffs, but also the parents. Everyone must listen to what she said. Be careful mums!

Our family have had such a positive experience at Explore and Develop. They were very welcoming from Day 1 with both of our children. All the educators genuinely cared for our children and in return they developed a strong bond with them. The Director does an excellent job of ensuring the children’s wellbeing and safety are at top priority and is very clear on communication. The menu is healthy and appetising for the children, the classrooms are clean, the play areas are enticing, with a good rotation of toys and activities throughout the year. The educators accommodated for my childrens’ needs at different stages of their development such as sleep routines, exposure of different foods and engaging with them effectively during challenging milestones. At every pick up, an update of my children’s day was provided by one of the educators. Everyone is approachable and friendly, and will recommend to other families.
