Sun River Resort Motel

Created some of the best memories here. Jim found a job for me the day I arrived. Had a great 3 month stay, if I had any problems they were fixed quickly. Big ups to Marianne, puts a smile on everyone’s face every single day & works very hard. Miss u Beoff x

What a great place to stay, Jim the owner was an amazing host and was very accommodating.The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable.Would recommend this cosy, little gem to anyone.

Location, motel staff, and facilities were excellent! Everyone at the motel went above and beyond to help in any situation. The motel room was super clean and had everything we needed. We will be back to stay next time travelling through Mildura!

Well below the standard of what any accommodation is allowed, not sure how the doors are open. Upto 7 people crammed into some rooms. Wifi is a thing not existing. Was promised it each day. Anyone looking to do farm work better bring a heap of cash with you as it is over priced at $150 per person for the scummy rooms you can see. Some rooms don't even have carpet. Random people coming and going from what appears to be working girls/escort services. All in all serverly over priced and out dated place. Promised hourly work for farms but got given piece rate. National labour services is a sham business and can't be trusted. Google should review who has rated this place as they are either employees of this company or owners.

I stayed here for just over 3 months and had the time of my life!It’s got such a friendly family vibe, it’s clean and has a bbq area and pool that was great for the weekends.Jim (owner of sun river) is the best! He looks out for everyone at the motel and Is really fair when sorting out jobs and just a laugh to hang out with. I was really cutting it fine with completing my 88 days and Jim made sure I always had a job and I completed it all within the 3 months, also Jim provides cars/vans to get to and from work. they also do a food shop run once a day which is free to use to get into town to get your shopping and this was a massive help! If there was ever an issue with anything I could go and talk to him and it was instantly sorted out.Looking at my whole traveling experience Jim’s place was definitely my favourite and where I was happiest! If I’m ever back in Australia I will definitely go back to Mildura and stay at sun river.Couldn’t recommend it high enough!Thanks Jim for the best memories and experiencesAmy

After a 14 hour drive it did the trick. Room was clean and office staff where friendly. The bed didn't feel that great but I slept like a baby.

Nice people, nice place. Not far from Mildura city but better if you have a car. Some nice farm jobs. Enjoyed my time there, may come back for next harvest ^.^

I highly recommend this place if you are visiting Mildura , it was suggested by a friend and I was pleasantly surprised, very friendly staff, great value and a nice big pool is the cherry on the cake. Will definitely come back again, Mr Jim the owner is a mate now! Thank you!

Great place to relax. Amazing helpful people, close to Mildura and Buronga IGA and petrol station. Has great facilities for cooking your own meals. Clean and neat pool surrounded by palm trees. Great for families or individuals looking for workers accommodation. Has laundry and common room with smart tv and pool table. Only short walk or drive across bridge to Mildura.
