Very basic, price was cheap so as they say gyou get what you pay for. Its an older motel so could use an upgrade. Had a toaster but no plates or cutlery.

If you value your privacy don't go near the place. If you are dealing with an insurance issue they'll try sell your information.Dirtiest place I've come across. The dust and dirt around beds chairs and other thong is so bad the floor is white with 5-10mm of dust and dirt

It was very clean, owner friendly could be updated l slept great, but my husband did not. Bed was very firm and he found the pillows uncomfortable as well, and my cousins stayed as well and they also didn't sleep well. What can I say, good for some, but bad for others. Good location right in the middle of of town.

I tried and tried to call reception 3 or 4 times I self booked and got room9 it was dirty there was still cobwebs in the room. The smoke alarms had been disconnected it says breakfast to your room but there is no one here to take the order and nothing in the room either.The lighting is very poor. On the whole the worse $115.00 dollars for a night I have ever spent infact if I knew what I know now I would have slept in the car.The only good thing of the stay was we found a great pub for a feed which was only a walk away.It is my opinion that please save your money and find another place to stay yea is a beautiful town just this motel lacks the love

I am lost for words!This motel is old, very dirty and dusty.The whole place needs a makeover for the price they charge.If you have allergies stay away from this place. The amount of dust around the edges on the floor looked like this place hadn’t been cleaned for a long time. There were fingerprints all over the tv and the switches were very sticky. I had to get disinfectant spray plus wipes to give the place a clean over, which I shouldn’t have to do in the first place. I won’t even mention the state of the fridge.To sleep in my car was more inviting and am pretty sure I need a tetanus shot after staying here.

Tried to see reception in regards to WiFi password , no one around!! Pretty poor when they charge $110 a night!! Fridge not turned on!! Won't be back here!

This is my go-to accommodation when I travel. Rooms are always clean and maintained. Excellent customer service, friendly and accomodating hosts. Walk across the road to main street shops with great coffee and food. Highly recommended!!

Very basic & old. No microwave tho you could get one from the office. Thats if you could find the office open. Very cold day & heater in room very inadequate. Comfy bed with electric blanket that did work. Good water pressure in shower.

My wife and I stayed at the Tartan for four nights Easter 2022 to cycle the Great Victorian Rail Trail. This place was perfect for us. It's right in the middle of the 130km GVRT trail. The rooms are big enough to keep two bicycles in the room so we didn't have to worry about security. The room was very clean. There was a lot of holiday traffic on the main road but the rooms are isolated from the noise. Slept very well in a very comfortable bed. Right across the street from Foodworks and cafes and pubs. Booking and check-in / check-out were easy and the manager lives on-site. It's not a glitzy modern pretentious place. it is a well-priced, comfortable country Australian motel. The floor tiles in the bathroom are a beautiful classic 1970s pattern. The Easter bunny even left chocolate eggs on the doorstep.
