Cicerello's Fremantle
Returned here for the first time since awhile. I liked what they did with the inside area since, made the place feel less cramped and the kitchen looks more open. Seats are also better and well spaced.I noticed that there is improvements in their food too. The chips were really nice. Fish is as good as usual. And the Seafood Chowder is still the best I’ve had in town. Generous serving even for the small size. I also liked the fried sausage which I usually buy for my kids. The beef cheeseburger is alright.Menus may not big as big as Kailis but their selections were decent.I also liked the fact they now serve beer on taps. Not much selection but still better than nothing. Price was reasonable, $7.50 for a middy and $12.50 for a pint.During our visit (Sunday morning) there was also a local magician who walked around tables entertaining the kids. Mostly making balloon puppets. It was a quite nice touch. And the fact they hired an old grandpa age entertainer to do this makes me appreciate the fact that they still care for the older generations too.Service were pretty good too. Staff was really attentive. We sat near the rear door and it was a really windy day. So the staff made sure the door was closed as much as possible. When someone left it open, they were onto it immediately!All in all, I was really pleased with our visit. I’ve been here multiple times since 2001 and can say that there is a definite improvement made. I’m so glad for it!w

The best fish and chips in Perth. It takes me 30 mins to get here but i come here nearly once per fortnite. The taste is fresh and the chips are fantastic. Use RAC for a discount and its better than ur local spot.

Fish and chips are both surprisingly good for a tourist place. Squid is a bit hard though and drinks are expensive hence 4 stars. Service is prompt and friendly.

Known as WA's No.1 Fish n chips, Cicerello's speaks for itself, had late lunch today with fren, food was served hot n fresh, ample of seatings both in/outdoor, the restaurant is clean n well presented overall, however i do suggest the grab yourself menus at the enterance, needs a regular wipe off too, some of those are quite sticky n greasy. had to wash my hands after we hand it back at the cashier.

Was actually a bit weary of these over commercialized fish and chip places from past experience.It’s still like ‘mass produced’ but today, Cicerello’s quality was pretty good!Clam chowder was great;Premium dory was good;Grilled crayfish was a bit tough as is with crayfish and lobsters.But overall, nicer than ‘the other guy’.

Update (June 2023): sorry but I'm dropping it to 3 stars now. The portion is getting really small and the mussels sauce is all dried up now. Really poor value and quality for the price. The fish fillets are half the size of what it used to be and even the chips portion sizes have been cut down. Come on, at that price you can at least fill it up with more chips if u want to increase the price.Conclusion - expensive, small portion, poor taste. Go try the other fish n chips restaurants available there.Aug 2022:Pretty pricey but the fish n chips is good. Good views and plenty of seats outside. Attached the menu for your reference (Aug 2022)

Cicerellos in Fremantle is a classic fish and chips institution. The fish is fresh, the batter is crispy, and the chips are delicious. Lovely evening with family. We all had the seafood tray which has a great variety and plenty of food. Staff are efficient and friendly. Food is as expected and very much enjoyed. Seating is a bit rustic but family friendly. The aquariums are worth a special visit. The wind can be cool off the water so I take a jacket as we enjoy outdoor seating, although there is indoor seating as well. This is a licensed premises. A must visit place.
