Mudgee Valley Park
Mudgee Valley Park was not our first choice being a little further out of the centre than we wanted, but it was fine. The Park was well occupied and the sites were under renovation. They will be well grassed for summer. Amenities were clean and functional, although with temperatures dropping to below zero overnight, the windows could have been closed! We worried about proximity to the highway, but it was not a problem.

The bunk beds are absolutely disgusting. Foam mattress on a hard flat surface. The worst bed" I have ever attempted to sleep in. The mattress literally folded around you.Upon arrival we received a note stating that on our 3rd day

Standard park for caravans. Facilities okay. Just too far from town. Staff not really helpfull with local info. Lots of road noise from trucks on highway next to park.

Stayed in cabins. Seemed a bit dated and well worn but clean. About what you would really expect in a park for the cost. Check In was easy and staff helpful in picking vineyards to visit.

Great place to stay, very short distance to CBD and the vineyards are easily accessed without having to drive through town. We stayed on Nye and it was really quiet and peaceful. Camp kitchen and the pool table and table tennis table were popular. Didn't use the swimming pool but it looked inviting.

The Park is very good but the night lighting around the facilities, vans and cabins is not up to regulations.I was walking back to our cabin around 9pm and as there was very little lighting to see where I was heading, I missed the step and landed very heavily on the decking, fortunately I was ok but it did jar me.I notified the park staff and told them that the park does not meet the required regulations. The cabin external light is a push button but is only 10 seconds, not enough time to get to the car before it switches off.I did go on line and it says, ‘ there should be sufficient lighting to walk around the caravans/amenities and cabins at a minimum of 100 lumens per square meter’, coupled with the cabin external light that has to be switched on from the inside is not safe and is a disaster waiting to happen.

Very friendly staff, super helpful on things to do in the area. Amenities are very clean and sites are large. Good camp kitchen. Would stay here again without hesitation.
