Focus on Furniture
Purchased a lounge from focus on. Warning as previous reviews also state do not use the delivery service - we tried not to due to word of mouth and previous reviews but the store was quite pushy with using the service. Walls damaged and the store takes no responsibility stating that the delivery company is a seperate unrelated entity despite being them who organises, contracts and final payment of the furniture invoice being paid to the delivery company with delivery all in the one payment/invoice. The delivery men were rude and tried to blame me for their incompetence and holes in the walls, raising their voice at me it wasn’t until I called my father that they stopped trying to intimidate me and contacted their boss. Their boss said he would pay for the damage and asked me not to tell the furniture store and asked me to organise repairs and send him the invoice. they have now proceeded to only pay part of the invoice and threatened the lovely man that repaired and repainted my walls with court if he didn’t accept partial payment despite agreeing to the amounts prior to repairs. We love the lounge we received but please don’t let the sales people push you into using the delivery service and pick the items up yourself.

Great deals and amazing range of furniture. We were thoroughly helped by Ben the manager and he was there all the way; and we ended up buying a lot of the furniture we needed to start our new home! Their mid year sale was worth it.Thank you Ben and keep up the good work! We will definitely be back.

Purchased the Piazza lounge suite at focus on furniture kotara last week. We are very happy with it. Large selection of both fabric and leather lounges at very reasonableprices compared with other stores in the area.The best part was the Staff were friendly and helpful but weren't pushy. They didn't pretend to be my long lost best friend the second I walked through the door.They gave us space to walk around, decide and didn't follow us around like a swarm of killer bees like practically every other furniture shop I went in that week.They had the lounge in stock and arranged delivery for a few days later.Thanks.

We recently purchased the 9 piece Esperance dining table with the Narla chairs and we couldn’t be happier. The table is made with quality craftsmanship and the finish is smooth and very aesthetic. The chairs are super comfortable and match the table perfectly. Delivery was fast and the delivery guys put together and setup the entire package making sure we were very happy before they left. A great buying experience and a great product.

Ordered a King single bed. Told 1 week to arrive. 2 weeks later told definitely coming next week. Just been informed it didn't arrive as the truck driver took it off. Told possibly will arrive next week. What a stuff around. 4 weeks for a bed to be delivered in store. Won't be ordering our lounge from you lot.

We bought the Alexander 6 seater corner lounge in a custom colour and couldn’t be happier with our purchase from Focus On Kotara. Most importantly, the lounge came exactly how we pictured it and discussed with the sales staff. I wish I could say the same for the lounge bought from Nick Scali at the same time but it is the wrong colour and sales staff told us lies.We had a great experience in the showroom with the team at Focus on and honestly can’t fault their service throughout the entire process. Thank you.It makes a huge difference when you can tell the staff are happy and you go back in store the next year and the same happy familiar faces are there.

Initially our customer experience at Focus On Kotara was dealing with Salesman Ben L who was very polite, knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. We purchased a number of furniture items from Focus On at Kotara. A number of weeks later the furniture was delivered, the younger delivery assistant was polite. The older delivery man dropped the buffet we had purchased a distance of 9 inch's to a foot from the back of the truck to the concrete/bitumen roadway, the buffet landing on its end. When he was inside of our home the older delivery man refused to take the furniture out of the boxes for inspection, my wife began to unpack the furniture, as did I, the older delivery man raising his voice yelling for us to stop, I explained to him it's his responsibility to unpack the furniture, to which he argued about, I then rang the Kotara Store speaking with Dylan who was of great help instructing the older delivery man to unpack the furniture, as it is their policy to do so, the furniture was unpacked, the Buffet had sustained damage to the end it was dropped on, after creating very hostile/upsetting environment the older man and younger man left. I got in contact with the Kotara Store sending photos of the damage, plus advising of the behaviour of the older delivery man. The person I spoke to advised me they would send a replacement Buffet in due course. Time went by I'd made a couple of calls to see when the replacement was arriving, being advised that the wrong month had been clicked by a staff member, the salesman berating the staff member for the mistake, so unfortunately an extra month was added to the time frame. I didn't complain about the mistake. The same male salesperson advising me due to the inconvenience we'd been put through, plus my patience, you're entitled to compensation, (which I hadn't asked for) I was later contacted by the original salesperson Ben L who was polite advising me of the date the replacement was arriving, he also advised the earlier mentioned salesman would be in contact re the compensation, the salesman rang me saying we would be entitled to $99, I said we are not about money, if you like we'd be happy with a lamp like we purchased from you (which was at a lessor value than the $99) he said send your bank details we'll bank the $99. I then got another email from him saying they're giving us $37 compensation. I rang him totally bemused, being we hadn't asked for compensation in the first place, but Focus On Kotara are depositing $37 compensation after all but 3 months of waiting and having to deal with the aggressive/abusive older delivery man. This salesman then alleged I had been ringing him every day, which was not the case, I said to him my telephone records will prove that I haven't done that. He then threatened to cancel our order if we want, I informed him all we want is an undamaged buffet and for the same older delivery man not to come to our home, he then said I can only do what I can do in an agitated tone of voice"
