Hello Solar

My engagement with hello solar started off promising but I should have known there would be hidden issues when the first two sales people I spoke to left the company without notice to me, requiring me to follow up with the company.That aside, they were able to continue with the quote provided UNTIL - I followed up regarding my installation date (after deposit paid), only to be met with various additional issues. The information which would have revealed these issues was provided upfront and long ago. When given a prospective solution, I was told I would likely have to pay an additional $500 to complete my installation. When I refused on account of the error being Hello Solar’s lack of due diligence, I was told my installation could not be completed by the company. A royal waste of time... very unfortunate.

Shocking and liars. Started 6 months ago, install by Christmas. Paid deposit, didn't hear back, left messages & emails. Finally replied, so called engineer insisted on 150mm cable for 43m, citing voltage gain! A miracle! Now say 50mm cable!2nd opinion from qualified high voltage electricians, solar qualified, confirm 16mm cable.Hello blame Essential Energy, asked for email, now admit they don't have one. Now missed out on cut off date for 9kw system.Thanks for nothing Chris and Jaffar. I am still waiting for deposit refund.

Initial quote was perfect. After paying the full price and 1 day before the installation they sent me another detailed quote with extra $360 and 10 times less electricity production estimates. Based on this I requested the cancellation.Another huge problem - your call won't be answered if you choose an existing customer" while calling

Stay away from this mob, they use dodgy installers. I’ve had my system for 4 years and I’m still trying to get my installation sorted. 1. They broke tiles with initial installation which I only realised when my bedroom ceiling collapsed on me one night during heavy rains. 2. Half my panels were not connected. This was only fixed after 2 years. 3. The brackets they used have been placed in such a manner that my tiles have been lifted - I believe they should have ground the tiles but did not. 4. And here comes the kicker…. I have a unsafe electrical installation- every time it rains, my inverter’s alarm goes off warning me that there is an electrical fault and I need to switch it off. It is 4 years later, once again I have rain damage and I am still trying to get them to fix this mess. Very unhappy!!!!

Recommended!1. Did a research on the product to install, we shorten the list to:- Panel: Jinko or Longi- Inverter: SMA or Fronius2. Given the product, we did quote compare and negotiation. Jesse is being very professional and responsive customer service. Equipped with proper quote, and help us to get a good price! Me and 4 of my close neighbours (and may have more to come) go together with the installation proposed. (same system spec)3. Installer team may vary for each of us, but they know each other and we are quite happy with the product and installation within our group.4. Post installation, we did a productivity review and there was a reinspection advised by the SMA technical team on my system. Hello solar Base support team (Alice/Sarah) was assisting me very well with the process and fixed the issue in no time. I am very happy with my current installation and outcome!

Very disappointed with the service of this company. They quoted me for cheap equipment that is new to the market with little to no reviews.Also insufficient information was given on the amount of sun that will be hitting my roof. They showed me one image in the summer at 9am in the morning and based their efficiency off of that.They decided to neglect the fact that the roof for the other parts of the day is severely affected by shade and a solar system would be a waste of time and money.Pushy salesman who are only after your money. BE CAREFUL and do your research before handing your money over.

Installation was a smooth process until a cracked tile under the panels was found to not be replaced even though spare tiles were available on the day of installation. This caused our roof to fill with water which eventually entered the house through a light point.It was very difficult to have the repair work accepted by hellosolar and took a lot of time and energy to manage what should have been a simple but urgent repair task. Even still repairs are outstanding with further storms coming over the next few days. The urgency of repairs have not been realised and the potential for damage inside is high. Post sales service is non-existent with the team failing to return a single call as promised. I have made 11 calls today in order to secure a repair time and have still not received an appropriate date or call back. For the last week I have stated repairs need to be made before further damage is done inside.If you want to be confident in the work that has been complete and the service you will receive after installation I would look elsewhere. It is a competitive market with lots of good offerings.

My experience has been really good with Hello Solar’s customer support. My agent was friendly and a solar panel expert. He helped me with every question about the cost and the process. Very helpful indeed.

I obtained 7 quotes because there were many dodgy operators and I needed to sift through all of them. I settled on two quotes one being Hello Solar and Clipsal, the latter added some $1000 for the installers to walk on a slippery roof not honouring the original quote. I sought great advice from my local council rep who looked at both quotes and advised to go with H Solar as they were about $2000 cheaper than Clipsal. The installation was handled well, just a couple of issues that were sorted. The installers were professional and efficient. The electrician installed a canopy over the inverter for protection against the sun at no extra cost.
