Really interesting shop and lovely owner. Very accommodating to my mother and I taking forever to choose from the wonderful assortment of items. We would have taken everything if we could. The highlight of my trip to Sassafras.

A hidden gem located in Mt Dandenong. After went hiking from 1000 steps, while waiting for lunch at Mrs Marples. We went to this place, the owner was so friendly and gave us a little souvenirs before we went home. He sells so many unique things

Today, my new husband and I wondered the streets of the beautiful little town called Sassafras. Our first day as newly weds we entered this unique and quirky store. The owner wearing his cool new top hat welcomed us in. His wedding gift to us, an antique penny for if we ever have problems making decisions in our marriage, we can flip the coin to get our answer. This honestly was the sweetest gift that we will treasure and hold dear throughout our marriage. Not to mention the adorable love birds we purchased. Highly recommend going into this hidden treasure and having a chat with Connor the owner... you will not be disappointed.

We visited on a beautiful, sunny (for Sassafras) day. The host, resplendent in T Shirt with printed tie, waistcoat and decorative top hat took time to speak to visitors and showed a genuine interest in people. Whether you are looking for a Corinthian suit of armour, An Anzac sunrise bugle or a $5 miniature dragon, there is something for all tastes, even if you weren't aware that you needed it. He also spoiled the ladies with a gift, regardless of whether they had purchased anything. Well worth a visit.

A quaint and charming place to visit and to look for a gift or for something for yourself. A place full of antiques and intricate pieces. Staff/owner is friendly and generous as he gave us gifts even though we did not buy much. Will visit again if visit Melbourne again.
