Nice place for splash with the kids but the local council has banned dogs and charges like a raging bull to park there.

Magic little spot with fine sand, lots of places to set up in the shade, and within easy walk to shops at Nelson Bay. But the best bit is the protected marine sanctuary at the Eastern end. Lots of schooling fish and quite easy to see with a snorkel mask starting from waist deep.

It's a place for a family holiday or couples to relax and have fun. A lot of restaurants around and there's that famous dolphin-whale watching that cost you around $75 AU.

Parking is expensive, but well worth the beautiful surrounding beaches.There is a park for the kids and also a marina with differant shops to eat, drink, icecream or suvonier at.
