Jon constructed a deck for me in 2016. The value was over $120k. Unfortunately there has been nothing but issues since the deck was built. It leaks.Jon and his merry men of trades (mates) have been back and forth to my home with adhoc piecemeal fixes. His approach is to say the issues are not his and every time his tradesmen come to attempt to fix there’s a new job to be done.I’ve had meetings where he bought himself, master builders and other trades to intimidate so that you accept his poor workmanship. Then paid for endless reports to prove he was incorrect and that the water was coming in still. . Hard to argue against 4 tradesmen when you’re not one. He does not manage the trades and make them accountable for their work or their cleaning of your property once they leave. You’re left to tidy up after their recent attempts at painting or re tiling etc.The water is still ingressing into my home with mould in the corners of the rooms.I’m now back with a claim to the qbcc as the deck needs pulling down and rebuilding (as no one will work on trying to fix his workmanship now without the whole thing coming down). I can’t sell the house as it’s not going to pass building and pest.Nice enough bloke but I wouldn’t task him to build anything substantial without heartache after. I’m left to write this as Jon is refusing to fix his work now.

We have used Jon's services multiple times over the last seven years and have been completely satisfied every time. This includes bathroom repairs in our first home and building a fantastic deck in our current home plus renovating our outdoor entertainment area (installing a raised and new roof). Then last year Jon renovated both of our bathrooms. The quality of Jon's work is outstanding and he is always prompt, courteous, efficient and responsive. We highly recommend Jon for any work you need done on your house.

Over the past eight years, we have had Jon do a variety of work at our home. He has extended our living area (building in a carport into larger lounge); built a beautiful fence which always gets compliments; fixed a drainage issue which had been stressful for us (feel so much better about rainy days now); and most recently, renovated a bathroom.Jon always uses the best tradies (it was worth waiting for his tiler who did great work). Even I can appreciate the quality of the work done; the guys have all been on time; keep good communication and leave the area tidy.Jon has great communication and always comes when he says he will. I also recommended him to a friend who had him complete several projects at her home and she was super happy also.I have no hesitation in recommending Jon from JMJ Builders - unless your project delays our next reno. LOL.
