Curtis Medical

After my second visit with the doctors at Curtis Medical, I have learned more about my body and how to take care of it than the previous 40 decades of doctor's visits my life.They are incredibly thorough and take time to explain how things work and how different illnesses and ailments affect you.Traditional service from a doctor's surgery that actually shows an interest in your well-being, instead of pushing you out the door to get the next patient through.Top marks.

Just moved into the are recently and I have to say I am very impressed with the Curtis Medical Clinic. The reception staff is very friendly and the doctors are very knowledgeable.Could not recommend more!

I went to make a appointment in person at Curtis medical centre. The receptionist was extremely rude and informed me that unless I had family attending this practice there was no chance they would take me. Okay busy, I get that, but what part of having a family member there makes more time in the day for me? I felt I was being descrimated against because maybe of my age. Maybe you should put your staff through a edicate course before you employ them.

Dr Tel is the BEST Doctor I've seen in near 50 years. Blood nurses are excellent too and know what they're doing, pain free blood tests. Thorough and kind doctors and staff.

Dr Rakesh is very understanding and always explains options. The nurses are great I never feel a thing. I would not trust my health care to anyone else.

Great medical Centre - Dr Tel and Dr Curtis are both fantastic, especially with kids. Very thorough, and dont feel like they are trying to push everyone through. Lucky to have such a great Practice in our region.

Dr Curtis has been my doctor for over 10 years. She saved my life and has kept me well ever since. I drive 1/2 hour to attend the surgery at Plainlands, won't go anywhere else.I trust her and her staff.

Complete disregard for proper care of my partner during her pregnancy, failed to notify her that she had really high blood pressure early in her pregnancy. Didn’t notify the hospital so they could arrange appointments with the midwives, this lack of care has put my partner and unborn daughter at risk of complications now and later in the pregnancy.Then to top it all off when she was unable to get into Curtis medical for an appointment due to a lack of appointments (which is fine), she went to another doctor that then requested her heath records they could assist her. A few weeks later she then needed to see a doctor again, so she called to book an appointment at Curtis to be told by the receptionist in a rude tone ‘Another doctor has requested your records so you can just go there’. I believe this is totally out of line, we had been going to Curtis for years previous to this, fair to say we will not be going back and everyone should stay clear of this medical centre.I would like a response to this inexcusable treatment Curtis medical, thank you.

*Note, posting on behalf of a patient to maintain their privacy.When I requested to discuss a serious issue during an appointment with Dr. Curtis, I was told 'I have too many phone calls and emails and it's the end of the day, can you make another appointment'. When a serious issue is raised, one would expect the doctor they are seeing to address the issue immediately. When questioned, Dr. Curtis was rude, impolite and disrespectful. Her severe lack of bedside manner is concerning as she is surrounded by people in vulnerable positions everyday, as well as children. Perhaps she would be better suited in a position which prevents her from interacting with people, especially those that need a doctor with empathy and compassion in a time of crisis.I imagine the response to this post will be something along the lines of 'we couldn't find you in our system, please call the practice'. I did call the practice, but felt that wasn't sufficient. I assume Dr. Curtis is the owner/co-owner of this practice, so I highly doubt she faces the consequences of her actions towards patients. Writing a review on the internet won't undo what has been done, I can only hope it helps to prevent another person going through the same thing.
