Underground Retreat

Visiting White Cliffs and staying at Underground Retreat has been a real pleasure. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with two of my friends recently. As a first time stay in a dugout, I was truly fascinated by the construction of the dugout and how cool and comfortable it is, even when the temp outside was Hot! The retreat was clean and homey with big rooms. Fossicking was great fun and I came home with some treasured experiences, great photos and some beautiful jewellery. A unique place to stay!

If you don't get invited to stay with one of the truly terrific locals, in the amazing place that is Whitecliffs, then this is the only place to stay! With 3 bedrooms it sleeps 7 comfortably and has the added benefits of fully equipped kitchen, Bathroom/laundry and two toilets (a real bonus if you're a lover of convenience) This magnificent place gives you the full experience of living in a dugout the way the locals do and not as a tourist. Personally I appreciate a good bed in clean surroundings and this place ticks all the boxes for me. We'll definitely be back.PS The owners were a pleasure to meet and very accommodating.

What an amazing place!! White Cliffs itself is extraordinary (the people as much as the place) and Janette and Pikey are SO welcoming. The accommodation itself is fabulous - all the amenities and comfort you'd expect - except in the cool of underground! Don't miss it and if you come to White Cliffs - this is THE place to stay!
