A must visit place if passing by Wagga Wagga as a traveller or just as a local. The garden is flawlessly beautiful with lots of flowers and little attractions. It has access to public toilets and ample parking space on flexible pavement strip built closer to the road. There is a train ride journey one can enjoy imitating the real railways (popular among kids) that works once or twice a month on the weekend only. The toy train is run by the volunteers of Wagga Wagga society of model engineers(WWSME). The toy train is called Willians hill miniature railway.

This is the second time I have visited the Botanic garden with my godson a soldier at Kapooka, the first being in June 2022 and this visit in May 2023. It is a very well laid out garden. I was particularly interested in the display of local flora. This time we concentrated on the fauna. It was interesting to see dingos close up. The deciduous trees looked splendid in their bright autumn colours.

Great gardens and visiting the zoo and Avery is always fun. Plenty of large shady trees to sit under and picnic with friends!

Having grown up in Wagga and having spent many happy times in these gardens it was a pleasure to visit again today. It is the perfect place for a picnic. However, the Garden Cafe serves excellent All day breakfast" and lunch - reasonably priced. Lovely playground for little ones. A free

Beautiful spot, picturesque by the river and lots of trees as well as educational. Pay your respect to the eternal flame.

Beautiful, well laid out gardens. I thought the zoo would be a bit naff but it was great. Lots of space in the pens for the animals and a fabulous free flying aviary. Great place.

A very beautiful town and lovely gardens to roam around in and a Public Library where you can find computer access to check your emails, pay your bills, etc. A very friendly place and their Remembrance Garden and Eternal Flame was very poignant. Don't miss stopping in Wagga Wagga if travelling that way.

Wonderful public parklands with several separate children's playgrounds, zoo and avery, cafe, pump track, and miniature train. The train runs the first and third Sunday of the month and costs $4 per person. You must wear enclosed shoes. I've seen people take the dogs on the train too. The cafe has great gelato. The zoo has dingos and other Australian animals. The Avery has a free flight area with a fish pond. Lots of fun for the entire family.
